As a taller player, I find that having the ball more forward works for me - if I put it back a bit I have a tendency to early extend. But your concepts of rotation can solve that. I had some experience at Top Golf in Las Vegas modeling your swing concepts and flushed a 4 iron (the actually had longer clubs) over 200 yards on multiple shots, hitting the target with a little push draw multiple times - the push draw felt natural. I will be exploring this over the winter!

@@MiloLinesGolf I so appreciate your personal reply.I shared a few of your vids last night with my son in law, who has played a ton of baseball. . I showed him how you adapt some baseball physics into your swing as he has a tendency to end up on the trail foot club face open. Notwithstanding the clubface path, I noticed this kickback myself somewhat.. instead of it being a defect, it appears it can be a natural consequence to the power generated, like a howitzer returning to firing position. It would be an interesting topic to cover. I hope I can get to AZ this year. Had some major abdominal surgery early Dec. and some setbacks, but thinking Mid March I will be ready,

Great video! My question is how how you help a student with lower speed to maintain these good movements whilst adding some loft. My longer clubs don’t fly high enough because I decrease dynamic loft too much for my speed. Short irons go miles and long clubs go nowhere. Would make a great video.😉

Some of it is Club fitting and some setup and swing modifications but it’s difficult to give the recipe without working with the student

When watching the last swing in slow motion you can see the forearm rotation more than a body rotation creating the push draw. Please explain…

I’m not sure we are seeing the same thing. I don’t see much forearm rotation until well after impact which doesn’t have any effect on the ball already long gone.

When does the trail wrist extension get released ? Slightly before impact, at impact or slightly after impact ? Thanks

It unwinds itself and begins unwinding around p6 and ideally doesn’t fully unwind until after impact.

I am in to out with irons. I can hit a push draw. I can hit a wild Tiger hook. I can hit a fade. It is soooo hard for me to hit a push draw with driver! You have any videos to address this?

Yes if you’re attack angle is up draws take work. Easier to just hit the bomb fade.

@@MiloLinesGolf I was negative. Then tried to get it up. I’m 3-5° up. I’m willing to switch. I have 111 average ball speed with 9i. Stupid driver has baffled me last couple years. I had shoulder reconstruction (everything torn) and have struggled with draw ever since. Oh well. Maybe bomb the power fade and live in the middle. I should be carrying 280 not 250!

The best ball striker of modern times , Lee Trevino , had trouble consistently hitting a high draw, so working the ball is hardly necessary for even plus handicap golfers . If you want to eliminate flipping and minimizing rolling the wrists to square the clubface , then one must rotate the torso . The question becomes how to rotate your torso sufficiently for middle aged and older golfers who lack sufficient mobility and who have incorrectly ingrained the flip and roll.

In my experience most older golfers actually do have the mobility needed but the proper pattern has been lost for a myriad of reasons.
