Absolutely! We’ve had the same experience-our email list has been a real game-changer for the farm. It’s taken some work to grow it and keep the content flowing, but it’s been worth it. I’m planning to share a few videos soon on how we’ve grown our email list and our content creating process that seems to work pretty well. This is the one thing farmers aren’t doing that requires little to no investment other than time and can really make a difference.

Basically these are services we've used. I still have Mailchimp for our farm account, but have had some issue recently (long response times and non-functioning templates), so switching to ConvertKit. I use ConvertKit for part-time-farmer.com/ and it's easier plus is still free for under 1000 subscribers. Can't go wrong giving each a try. Homegrownhosting.com is a service we created for farmers. It uses wordpress (which i've always used and is used by half of all websites on the web). You can also take your website with you to other WP hosting providers. We've also priced it much cheaper than some of the other farm website providers. There are other options such as squarespace or wix, that are cheaper but you do all the designing / maintenance. There are also a few providers that host their farm store on THEIR website, not yours, meaning it takes people from your site and hurts your search rankings. If you google, "grassfed beef charlottesville va" or "grassfed beef Richmond va", we (Longbottom Farm) typically show up on the first page of google and that's because wordpress makes it easy to do that with all it's tools and I get to keep my farm store on my website.
