Awesome fix brother! Nothing worse than getting blow around by the tractor trailers! Nice job! 🙂🇺🇸👍👍

Thanks bro. Made a humongous difference. Probably the most was the sway bar. I found a little play in the drag link and I’m going to replace that hopefully real soon. But it’s not as bad as all the other stuff was.

I found these on suspension connections website. But they're 1-3/4". However mine is an F53 ford suspension.

Thank you. Driving the P30 chassis like driving a slot car now. It handles the curves on those mountain roads like awesome. I love that sway bar best thing I ever did to the front end of that rig.!
@grecopena2 жыл бұрын
Makes sense to me. I did the the Firestone air bags that work well, and also did the Hellwig from lift spring which really helped lifer the front of my 96 Safari Trek (P30), but not the front or rear sway bars. That’s next.
@atlyvwire2 жыл бұрын
Since this video, I upgraded those front springs to super steer springs and got rid of those airbags. It rides so good!!!
@grecopena2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the control tip. It looks like your passenger side bell crank is missing a bolt.
@octaneforce2 жыл бұрын
The driver side has 4 bolts, the passenger side has 3 bolts. Its normal for all of these

Thanks for sharing. Just bought an old RV, and it has a lot of sway. Going to look into this.

Thanks I purchased the sway bar based on your video. The sway is almost non existent.

Awesome!!!! This summer I am upgrading from the springs with the shocks inside to the Super steer blue heavy duty springs with no shocks. That’s the last upgrade I need to do on that front end.
@octaneforce2 жыл бұрын
Did the old bell cranks seem to have obvious play in them when you removed them? I removed my drivers side bell crank because it looked like it had play when watching the front end be moved, but i cant create any play while i have it in front of me on a bench.
@atlyvwire2 жыл бұрын
I had to see the slight wiggle in mine while it was still in the RV. I’m not sure if we could exhibit the forces needed to generate that wiggle on a bench. However it did improve a little bit, overall, it took all the improvements I did on the front end to get it to drive so well.

The workhorse chassis are very similar but different. You’ll have to call the place I bought it from. There’s a link in the description I added.

I have a 1995 P30 chassis. If you could do it over again, would you have started with the Hellwig sway bar first and maybe not done all the other things? I only have 25,000 miles on this motorhome and need to tighten things up on it. I was going to start with the SuperSteer first. I have limited money to throw at it. What are your thoughts? Thanks for making the video and sharing what you did.
@atlyvwire3 жыл бұрын
I would first start with the sway bar absolutely. Then I would do one super steer on the driver side. That’s the one that seems to go out first.
@LB-ph2jw3 жыл бұрын
Hey Lauri - I think we’re in the same boat with 1995 p30 steering/sway. Have you had any progress with finding proper parts?
@barrycondon32593 жыл бұрын
So where did you find this? Just talked to Hellwig and they say it's discontinued and didn't know where to find one. Are you aware of anybody else that makes a beefier sway bar for a P32?
