Firstly can i just say i am so sorry for not uploading for a month! However i did take a long time on this edit because i wanted to make sure it's perfect.
Like i said at the end of the video, this edit really does mean a lot to me. I am very self conscious and don't like the way i look,so i wanted to show how i feel through an edit!

the fact that everyone here is beautiful makes me feel even more insecure *hi guys! one year later, i can say that i am doing way better and i will attach a comment i wrote in the reply section. i hope it will help you. because it helped me* : first of all, im so sorry you guys feel this way. back when i made this comment i was feeling terrible about my acne and body. and i wanted to share how i started feeling better. i thought to myself that i would rather be happy than pretty. i am not my body. literally. this body is like a case for your phone. you dont pay THAT much attention to a phone case rather than to the actual phone. whats inside is what matters. our society conditioned us all to think that if we dont fit their impossible beauty standard, we are unworthy of love. and that is so not true. this is all a tactic to get us to buy their stupid weightloss/skin clearing products. and i told myself that i will never buy into it. i learned that we are all unique and beautiful. the fact that you fit the beauty standards is not what makes you beautiful. the way your nose doesnt look like everyone else's makes you beautiful. the fact that your body is not the same as everyone's body makes it beautiful. we are all different and that is what it was supposed to be like. also, if you dont like the fact that you are bigger than others, remeber that Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty had tummy rolls!! Let’s stop calling girls pretty. Let’s instead say: “You are so smart” “You are so funny” “You have a great personality” “You are so talented” or even “I just enjoy being around you”. I was talking to a boy for a significant portion of my junior year and I had shared my art, hobbies, and dreams with him. I even invited him to my house to play mario kart because he said he liked the game. He told me about his family life and how he wanted to be in the navy and I told him he had beautiful eyes and I thought we were becoming friends. I was sitting near him during lunch but at a different table and he was calling my name. His friends are all annoying teenaged boys and I thought he was different from them but I heard him start to talk about the different girls sitting outside enjoying their days. They made gagging noises at the "ugly" girls and hooted and praised the "pretty" I was fucking disgusted man. Like, none of those disgusting atrocious beasts deserve any of the wonderful girls they pointed out who didn't even know they were being talked about. The worst part is when I heard my crush call my name and I was too scared to face him and his friends because they would all be looking at me knowing I'm ugly. So I didn't turn around and he thought I couldn't hear him calling my name, so he started talking about me. He said "i hate to be honest, but she's really fat." I started crying so hard when I heard that because he had been the only boy who had shown interest in me throughout high school and I had let him in so easily and I thought he was different and he turned out to be the one fueling my insecurities. Later, he spoke to me like he hadn't said those disgusting things and it seems stupid to have a boys words mean so much to me but I feel betrayed and humiliated right now

I once was a girl dreaming about a prince on a white horse, coming to rescue me. My whole life I was lonely, had only few friends. I was the weird one, reading too much, "talking like an adult", not pretty enough to be popular and not ugly enough to get talked about. It was like being invisible until they started to harass me, trying to break my will and to break my belief in myself. At one point I thought they succeeded. I hit rock-bottom and was completely alone. And that was when I decided that this is going to end and that I will be the one to decide who I am. I climbed out of that hole, began with not giving a shit about the people at my school. Everything changed. Even my dream. Because I finally took myself what I wanted to have and there were so many who liked my new self, who liked me for me. I'm almost 21 now and I would lie when I said that I'm over my past and that it doesn't bother me anymore. But I'm not alone anymore and I know that I can fight anyone who tries to break me again. And I'm damn sure that you can do this too.

This happened to me when I was walking around the mall with my cousin. We we're talking to this one salesperson guy and idk what pushed him to suddenly blurt out oh, she's prettier (looks at cousin). It didn't help that I grew up with her until I was 13 and I am aware of how others gush about how pretty she was and have been asked by some guys for her name/number. I always feel like when they tell me 'you're pretty too' it's because they pity forgetting about me lmao. And now every once in a while insecurity would hit me like a ton of bricks especially around pretty friends when I sense other people looking our way. It happens too when I watch movies or read books about pretty girls that people want to be around. It's so hard to tame that insecurity when the world we all live in values physical beauty so much.

I feel so sorry for people who think like this. You all should know that no one is really 'ugly' and beauty is subjective; it's all in your head. I don't want to say that beauty and appearance doesn't matter, because fashion, hair, and makeup are some of the biggest passions in my life, but you should know that when you communicate and/or have some kind of relationship with someone, how you look isn't all they care about.
