Stop saying "complicated" Instead say "He made it entirely more complex and convoluted to convey the intended message than it could have been if it was delivered in the alternative and more efficient manner"

I’ve spoke English since I could talk like a human.. im not getting rid of darling often, sometimes, or usually. It’s a lot easier to get out. Also, I feel like no one will say “from time to time” unless you’re trying to sound more formal in a way. Most of us who speak English are too lazy to say those long things

It is not often one makes a video like this, unless if it is, but usually I do not see these kinds of videos but they’ll pop up every so often. Sometimes it will make sense and sometimes it won’t, usually it doesn’t, this video is one of them.

I dont think this is great advice. Using those other words are normal and if you the phrases it can seems forced and awkward.

@@Drogon7102 Yes, you're right ,these may be awkward in friendly conversation but there is no wrong knowing those words. If you are taking an exam or writing a formal letter , these phrases will support your knowledge.

Every so often doesn't mean usually. It's more synonymous with occasionally

@@khodis2002 I understand, english is stupidly complex. Usually comes from the root "usual" which means something that happens regularly, and every so often is also from a similar root of "often" which means something that happens semi regularly. Every so often is a less regular version of often due to the "every so" infront of it.

Often, I like to usually use simple words like sometimes so express that what I just said, or what I'm going to say in the future, to have a bigger audience because younger kids will have no clue on what I'm talking about.

All of these terms are totally acceptable and extremely common. The least common is probably “from time to time”
