Glad you liked it. Will look into the brake module sometime in the future, but it will probably take some time. Must admit I am a little hesitant as it is an expensive module... so a little unsure how useful it really is. Many of the new steam locos have the slider on the tender such as 39662. I am confused why marklin located the slider on the tender. The signal should be placed two track lengths from stop section.

Hi Michel, Unfortunately, I do not have K-track. However, the principle for wiring the signals is the same as for C-track. The differens is how to isolate. The manual comes with a good picture. As an example, check out page 36 for the Märklin 76491 manual: static.maerklin.de/damcontent/80/3e/803e565a406f08748a0372953b6c39721616401922.pdf As I understand it most K-trackers solder the wires directly to the track. I am not sure how isolation between track work with K-track, but you can use the Märklin 7522. Hope this helps. Enjoy ;-)

Hi Jastrunc, I am unsure what your question is... The stop sections are useful for some layouts but require expensive signals. I must admit I rarely use them. Consider what kind of signals you need on your layout, then if you really need stop sections. Enjoy ;-)

Yes - the purpose for M84 is for turning on/off continous power. The M84 is basically a set of relays and can be used to turning on/off many things e.g. lights, signals and track power. I intend to cover this is a video within the next months. For the direct current therefore rolling stock and Trix armament the insulators to be applied should be only two and not four as you are doing on alternating current, right?

I have not experimented with Trix with these signals, so I can only look in the manuals. I see that the equivalent Trix signal has a different number than the Märklin one e.g. Märklin 70393 vs Trix 70391. Interestingly I find no manual on the Trix website for Trix 70391 - which means there is no guidance. Hence, I can only assume that the Märklin 70393 can be used with Trix but cannot guarantee it (I would find it very odd if it is not compatible). However, please consider this risk. Looking at the Trix straight track 62188 I see that there are indeed only 1 metal connector in each end - not 2 as on the Märklin 24188. My guess is that you are correct and you only need to insulate two - not four for the stop track. My guess is that when you have the stop section in front of you, then you need to insulate either the contacts pointing to the left or the right. If you choose the left, then you need to insulate contact to the left on the leftmost track of the stop section and you need to to insulate the contact to the left on the track to the right just before the stop section. Ahhh - I forgot the Märklin 70391 is just the 70393 without MFX. But that just makes it more mysterios that the Trix 70391 is marked as MFX on their website. I think this is a mistake and should say DCC. With this in mind I believe the Märklin signals are compatible with Trix ;-)

Excellent video. But I found a problem: loco doesn`t stop on the dead rail, he stops inmediately after he pass the dead rail. And when I close the circuit with another rails, he doesn´t stop never even with the signal in red. What can be ? Thanks a lot for your help!

Glad you enjoyed the video. To me it sounds like the dead section has power even though its not supposed to. To troubleshoot I would do the following. Set the signal to Green. Put a locomotive on the dead section. Turn on light for the locomotive. Set the signal to Red. If the locomotive light is still on, then the dead section is not dead. If its not dead then double check that the insulation tabs are present in both ends of the dead track section. You need two in each end (4 in total): one on the track in the dead section and one on the adjacent track. All 4 red insulators must be on the "inside" metal tab of the track. Verify with the signal and locomotive as above to see if this helped. If this did not help - remove any wire attached to any track in the dead section. Verify with the signal and locomotive as above to see if this helped. At this point the only thing you could have done wrong is the red insulators - double check them again. Put the locomotive on the dead track and ensure it is dead. Now add each wire in dead section you had before - one at a time. Each time you add a wire verify with the signal and locomotive as above to see if this helped. If something odd happens when adding the red wire to the signal - double check all wires to/from the signal. Hope this helps! Enjoy ;-)

@@ModelTrainFun Thanks a lot for your answer! When I put a locomotive on the dead secton, without red wires, light still on. So the problem are the insulators indeed. Some of them are deformed (they are a little weak) and perhaps they do not make a correct isolation of the current. Is there any other alternative to replace the insulators? @@claudiog2379 I have not tried anything else and have always had success with the insulators. Please double check it is on the correct "metal tab" on the rail - need to insulate the "B" closest to the center rail. If you accidentially insulate the "0" (towards the side) it will not work. As for alternatives - I have not tried anything else, but I am sure somebody else have - ask around. Anytbody got a good alternative? Enjoy ;-)

Hello! I have a question when you are creating a dead section and signal is red. Is it possible to use the dead section as a contact track? If you connect a detection wire to the 0, what happens when a train is in the dead section with red signal, is it detected?

Yes - you can use the stop section as contact track as well. You connect the grey wire to the contact rail of the contact track (which is is the brown/"0"). The stop section (dead section) is achieved by cutting power to the red/"B". I will illustrate this in an upcoming video. Enjoy ;-)

Hi Jasper, Welcome to the hobby and I hope you have fun with your Minitrix starter set. The Minitrix Mobile Station (MS) is the same as the Märklin Mobile Station 2 (MS2). There are also many videos available for you to get inspired. Check out any N-scale KZbin channel. In the N-scale world most people mix brands and products - you can do the same.
