I start using the sponge back in October of last year and all was going well, until I figured out that my hair was flatten at the top. Hey kozact, I think afro combs metal or plastic are bad for your hair. I think you should make a video on why using only wide tooth combs are better as they are just much more efficent for detangling while afro picks damage your hair just likes sponges and just make it have more volume

What if you’re not trying to grow your hair and you just want to style it because it suits you? Like me for instance

I still would recommend against spooning your hair because even if you’re fine with your current hair length, if you’re damaging your hair with a hair sponge. You could start to get patchy hair or lose hair in certain areas my excessively sponging

Yes, I’d say it’s a bit too early, massage your scalp and keep doing whatever you’re doing until your hair is about 3.5 or 4 inches in length

That can just sometimes happen not all strands of hair are the same , this can also happen from heat damage from blow drying your hair

Ohh a twist comb , a twist, is slightly better than a sponge because it’s a metal material but it still snags, pulls, and tears your hair so I’d still recommend against it

Massage and stimulate the areas that aren’t growing. Try using a hair growth oil along side that. Also try taking hair growth supplements that contain biotin. And once ur sides get long enough start getting then braided down in cornrows

Nope this is a lie. Hair grows out of the scalp the sponge doesn't touch the scalp. People run their fingers throughout their hair all the time , they braid it and that involves pulling the hair. It doesn't produce balding at all
