The sky don’t “need” her. She’s one of the reasons the spacing was SO bad. A SG playing predominantly inside the arc (in the paint at that) is ridiculous, especially with your 4-5 aren’t shooters. Should they still go after her all things considered? Yes, even though she’ll have to change her playstyle, she’s still extremely athletic and a great player. But do they “need” her to win/be successful? No. They have a new coach now that will put an end to a lot of the backcourt foolishness. Which will fix a lot of the issues with the Sky last season.

Everyone is going to be surprised by how little the media deal is going to the players. Once the Players Union overplays their hand, the squeeze will start and jeopardize the end of the 2025 season. It's anyone's guess how it ends but the players won't accept shared responsibilities for League losses as part of their equity sharing demand. The current equity sharing agreement requires a profit and only a small % of that profit share is paid out. The rest is carried over future years. Even with the media deal, the league is not projected to be profitable. The players want a cut off the top and that's not going to happen

The salaries after the new contracts kick in aren't going to matter to the players who are rockin' with NIL deals in the millions so that's not going to be a motivating factor for them. Players like Satou care about being part of something bigger than them that they can build up. I don't see her as a coat tail rider or as someone who wants to join an already championship team like the Aces or the Liberty. In my personal opinion, I think she wants to be part of the contributing ingredients that takes a team to the next level.

I disagree. If satou wanted to build something she would of stayed in Dallas who is currently building something. That makes no sense. I think what u don't think she wants is exactly what she wants it makes perfect sense. She just saw her sister win a championship before her in ny. I think she wants to win at this point in her career. Ny just won lost a major piece to the expansion and her sister is still there. That's her only family in the states. She also seems to like ny as she's been here the last few off seasons. She gets to win and be with her sister which in the very interview saying she's leaving the wings she said she wanted to play with her sister. So works for her. Ny has a bunch of yong talent and the number 7 pick in this year's deep draft works for Dallas. Ny gets satou to pair with her sister and fill the hole left by Thornton in a major way. Works for the liberty. I think that trade is happening.

Plus, on New York, she'd be a nobody with that roster. Plus, NY's chances are the worst in the league for a championship since repeating in the WNBA is the exception and not the norm. With Indy, she'd get a LOT of time in front of a massive audience which would build up her own personal stock and immediately have MILLIONS of new fans. Besides that, she'd be playing with some of the best players in the world on their way up, all well under 30 years old instead of with an aging team. Having said that, NY would definitely be the 2nd best choice for her, but if she wants to mathematically increase her chances of winning a championship, the Fever is going to be at the top of that list. Aces, forget it. No room there for another star besides Aja. Lynx, they are broken right now. The Sun? Nobody wants to go to that dumpster fire. Plus, she has already expressed her favor with going to the Fever in social media and financially speaking, she'd be a millionaire by the summer. In my humble opinion, she wouldn't want to be on another rebuilding team because she's too old for that and she's definitely young enough to want to get on the ground floor of a legacy team and the Fever is going to be that legacy team. I think Chicago can be a top 4 team next year. New coach, year 2 Reese and Cardoso will see improvements. The most important thing is the draft. I would take Cintron at 3 and Fudd or Paopao at 10. They should bring Carter back. If they can get Fudd or Paopao they'll have scoring off the bench and depth. Chicago bench was weak last year. They also have free agency to replace the people leaving. I still don't understand why they didn't bring Brynna Maxwell back just for 3s off the bench. They need to open the paint for Cardoso and Reese.

you can core a player for 2 years under the current agreement. Sky have a real problem as their 4 - AR can't shoot outside of key and she is paired with KC who can't shoot outside of key as well. So sky choice is do you think Satou is better than Olivia Miles and Kiki Iriafen. this draft is a 3 player draft PB, Miles, and Kiki - depends on sky grading of those players. Wade got taken on Dallas trade for Mabrey but remember wait brought in or had Mabrey , Copper , and Smith. that was a good core to build around . then he left (dog) and Copper did not want to stay sky and the rebuild was on. with Satou the real question is can she stay healthy. Big risk that is why i would not for Satou.

The best PGs are currently slotted to go no.1 and no.2… at that point you pick the best available that makes sense which would be Sonia Citron (a small forward). Now, I don’t mind Jewell for the no.10 pick. However, again, there no “best available PG at no.3” Sonia still makes the most sense. They can just go after Sloot in free agency. Also, we already have the mercury’s first round pick in 2026 (well it’s technically a pick swap) or did you mean their first round pick for 2025? Hmm.. not bad I guess, however Chennedy is not comparable to DT at all. Chen doesn’t take 3’s and scores predominantly in the paint at that.
