I am trying to seal all the air leaks around the door latch system on my closed cab defender also. Before I try to install a heater in my two door defender. Turns out to be bigger job than I thought, it would be. a old combat nam vet

It seems my door rattles a lot at the door clip where you have yellow tubing. I have been using black electric tap around that but what is your yellow tubing? Did adding the spacers help?

The added spacers did help the doors close tighter. I tried the electrical tape, but it didn't hold up very well. The yellow is electrical shrink tube. It holds up a bit better.

I see u have the headliner and rear view mirror..can u add a link or elaborate your setup

Those doors come with rubber around the plastic part of the door. Mine do not rattle like that at. I believe if u adjust them tight they should not rattle.

Yeah there is weather stripping around the bottom like you mentioned. I never could get these adjusted perfectly to where there was no rattle. I was at the dealer this morning and it appears they have the same issue. All of their doors rattle just like mine. Thanks for watching and for the input. -Dave

After some serious riding mine started to rattle. Things tend to loosen up after some good off road trips. Thanks for the tip Deranged.
