Thank you so much for this, I am a 23 year old, undiagnosed, however family history of ADHD and now looking back on my life so far is somehting I think I have always had. I have found this video so reassuring and just made me feel a lot less lonely in general. So thank you. Just wondering if there is place where the Doom box is explained? and the drawer concept?

@@DrSharonSaline the Adhd can be hidden in adults because it is covered by dysthymia Which is chronic mild depression

😢My self-sabotage consists of "reminding myself" that in 90% of my actions I do not "measure up"; for example: 1. When it is necessary to "show face", in a moment of personal social tension, I escape 2. Not too intelligent and being insufficient at math and any other subject where we ought to reason 3 That I don't master any subject and left official studies at 16 years because of a change of continent and cultural traditions; or I'm That I depend on my state of mind to work, be with people, etc. , that I have depression and that when I am regular, I DO NOT FULFILL with acquired commitments: Medical appointments; Appointments with Professionals to whom I have asked for advice 3. My low mood and not having the courage to talk to anyone, or do things, or move 4. My anxiety 5. Fear of rejection 6. Fear of Frustration😢

Thank you for sharing. I encourage you to focus on more on what is working than what it isn't. It seems like it's time to rewrite the negative self-talk in your head by shifting your perspective. Start small by noticing one thing per day and write that down.

@DrSharonSaline
@DrSharonSaline Жыл бұрын
oh I can understand that. I would encourage to start with one small area to organize first or a theme. For instance, I'm going to pick up all my clothes from the floor or I'm going to recycle all junk mail and put it in a box. Break things down and start SMALL. Good luck!

What is the the difference between avoiding a task or person due to self sabotage or self care?
@DrSharonSaline
@DrSharonSaline Жыл бұрын
Avoiding an important task can be a form of self-sabotage in how it increases stress and then self-criticism for not doing the task.
@sanya3398

@Dr. Sharon Saline what if it isn't followed up with self criticism? Is it possible that it's more of a burnout? I am just trying to understand myself from a compassionate place as to why after a certain stresss point, I absolutely cannot return to a certain task or situation. (Like doing the final assignment for a course I had a nervous breakdown over)
