Yo guys, honestly. Me and my ex broke up 5 months ago. I was in a really horrible place, couldn’t stop crying or thinking about her. I came to brads videos for help and it seriously does help. Best advice I can give is spend time to yourself, focus on rebuilding you. There was obviously an issue with the relationship for it to end. I learned the hard way, you just need to be brutally honest with yourself. After that then you can decide whether you want to pursue things with him or her from that point! 5 months on and me and my ex are talking again. I followed everything this guy said and it worked wonders! This stuff works, you just need to decide if it’s what you want! Thanks Brad!

The emotional stuff was great but we couldn't offer each other the security we needed to grow together . I'm just rebuilding myself and my life. When I think about giving her a chance if ever she wants one I don't feel like giving it, and I love this way I have to move on fully because being in a relationship is hard. @BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's the only way she will realize. Well, keep in mind that the new guy isn’t you and if your relationship had been particularly good for the most part, then you can use that knowledge to your advantage (otherwise you really can't do anything about that now because you can't undo the past; best to take the experience as a lesson learned and try to show it to your ex and hope she is STILL open or receptive to it after giving space). Keep in mind that your ex is suffering too, even though it seems like the opposite. Discussed that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXyoZ6GYaZKhmqM So make sure you don't taint your ex's memory of you by making those awful mistakes I talk about on my other vids. Your ex is likely rebounding, especially if yours had been a long-term or serious relationship. Watch this first: kzbin.info/www/bejne/earOoY2MZbR8qac But don’t rely on that fact alone. Learn to play your cards right as well and go by these principles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5ytYqyYqqt8fqc Good luck!

following your advice is the reason why i never got back together with my ex. he had admitted he was still in love with me and would consider a second chance maybe until i followed your advice incredibly foolishly. i had commented several times under videos to no avail, and actually had to cut out my ex. while i am glad he and i aren’t back together, for anyone reading this, take his advice with a grain of salt or you’ll end up like me.

Sorry, while I try to be as attentive as possible, there are simply too many comments on here that I can't get to everyone at once. Anyway re your situation, the connection couldn't be that strong judging from both your reactions. If he supposedly is still in love with you yet can bare not talking to you for a very long time (I assume you followed the "no contact" rule) and is okay with you "striving" from the breakup and building your own life without your ex. That is if you have applied the tips here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYalf5dspal8hK8

Unless your situation falls under one or more of the scenarios here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWjMdGCdfdKNaKM it's best you ignore contact from your ex. If your ex continues to reach out to you, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. The only exception is if your ex asks for you back and is sincere about it. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. Discussed that in full detail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYXNdnR9f7yHq6M So if your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses his/her power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. Use your discretion. Watch and follow the tips here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJiyeGypZsuUmZo

Begging won't help. You need to give him time and space first, so redo the "no contact" rule and make sure you stick to it this time. But watch this first to help manage your expectations: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hau5qqCPo7Z5is0 Here's how you can tell you're doing the "no contact" rule properly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGjdpouhYtiJqas It may help to make use of the clean slate template, which is a free version from a piece of my Ex Factor Guide. Watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHyWqaicetx4fMk The main goal is to bring your ex into an emotional neutral state by employing the 30-day “no contact” rule -- let your ex miss you and don't rush it. My wife and I split about 40 days ago and she said she wanted out. I would have problems at working thinking about her and I get sad and cry. So sometimes I would call her to just say hello. We texted like a couple times a week. I was gonna do no contact but I just felt the need to talk to her. Sunday I texted and asked if I could call her during lunch break she said sure. We talked about 20 minutes and then I said it was nice talking to you thanks for picking up. She then texted me before I got off and told me she was getting tested for Covid-19 and we texted the rest of the day. We exchanged pictures and videos of what we took in the past and I told her that this was the happiest I’ve felt in a month. She then said well I wanted to talk to you too. The next day she didn’t text me at all. I gave her the whole day to text or call me and I finally tried calling her to see how her day was. She texted me it was a mistake texting you yesterday I didn’t wanna give you the wrong idea. After she just said that she wanted to talk to. What should I do?

I'm good, thanks. And you're welcome! Always happy to help whenever I can and as much as I can. Maybe stop trying to meet up with him? Just put that thought aside for a good while. Meet up with your friends instead and/or new people and try to enjoy life as much as you can without your ex in it. That is really key. As much as possible, let him initiate the meetup which is why I suggest you stop bringing it up altogether. Anyway you're on the right track, assuming you've done the first phase (30-day "no contact" rule) correctly and basically had set the stage for this second part. Be sure to check out my other videos for more tips on how to go about this, especially this: y2u.be/gUBNd6pDINM Since you've only recently reconnected, then don't expect your ex to warm up easily. Getting an ex back is a process. Here's a short infograph to guide you in each process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXvXnomYedCVotk Look out for the signs that your ex has moved on, though: y2u.be/TnZzeEIPEik But evaluate things, too. Are you sure you're not trying to rush it? Setting a deadline is a good way to fail when it comes to exes, so I highly discourage it. What steps have you taken to get your ex back? It's time to re-assess those and see what's working versus what's not working. Sometimes, getting an ex back is like trying to fit a square into a circle, but oftentimes, chances are you're letting emotion dictate you and therefore end up making the wrong choices. Have you checked out my guide yet? It’s ultimately up to you to act (or not act, depending on which phase you’re in) on getting your ex back, but it helps if you read it to ensure that you’re on the right track. Hey Brad, today is my 15th Day of NC. I really have no idea what's going on in his mind. The biggest heart break is yesterday i lost my uncle due to cancer ..im going thorugh a very tough phase. Unfortunately I don't have his shoulder to lean on. It hurts so much. A week ago I didn't even wished him on his birthday intentionally ... To make him realise my worth an value. I just want to recover from this phase of my life asap. Cause this heart break is beyond my capacity to control my tears.. He haven't blocked me in what's app and FB, and I really don't know how to initiate conversation after 30 days of NC.. Before 15 days I cried million tears and was begging and pleading him to be with me. But he didn't responded to my plights properly and gave me mixed signals. I'm so confused, baffled and bewildered.

Sorry for your loss. Don't rush it, though. Healing takes time. You can see it as an opportunity to grow, learn what you can from the relationship and/or how to correct the issues and whether or not it can still be fixed. But first off, take time to heal first and this is exactly what the "no contact" rule for 30 days is about. Anyway once you've already completed the full 30-day "no contact" rule and assuming you did it correctly, then the texting tips here will be a good starter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqDRfqeCe9RjZpI but make sure you tick off the checklist here first: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHLLfqWjrJiGo9U This means you take time focusing on the second phase and eventually the third phase when the time is right. This won’t happen overnight, of course, but it’s something you ought to continue to work on to the point where you’re gradually building attraction again. This is what my guide is for. Have you checked it out yet? It's too complicated to explain everything on here, but here's an overview of these phases and what to expect in each one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5aqf4N4mdWhqas Good luck!

Hey Brad! My ex does a thing where she follows people she recently broke up with and I feel like she is doing the same with me. Should I unfollow her? I want to get her back and we only been together for 4 months. I also read this quote "Some people don’t love you, they don’t even care about you. They just want to stay connected to you. They love the benefits. So they do the minimal. A little phone call here and there, just checking. What they are really doing is maintaining the connection, so when they need, they still have a way in."
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
Don't follow her if it's only going to distract you from healing. Maybe stop trying to look at your ex's profile/messages/snaps, posts, etc.? An essential part of the "no contact" rule is to turn your focus inwards for a good 30 days, and looking at what your ex is doing and whatnot largely deviates from that point, don't you think?

Unless you've done something really epic to mess up things, there's no reason to worry as much, really, because it could be due to the top 3 reasons I've stated on this vid: y2u.be/fjtv90o9bkI Blocking you could just be your ex’s way of coping so I wouldn’t worry too much about it if I were you, at least not initially. If you stay blocked after months though, then that’s another story, especially if you have no other means of communication or have no mutual friends. More about that on here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4a3amV_d5qondU Anyway social media should be the least of your concerns. Focus on all three phases and your ex may naturally unblock you, in time, as you learn to rebuild that attraction and re-attract this ex back to your life.. Here are the basics of all three phases to getting an ex back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5aqf4N4mdWhqas and social-media wise, here (but then again, don't let it become your sole focus) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/emKqoYVrgqajh80 Good luck!

Hi Brad, it’s been 2 months since the breakup and I’m obsessed with the situation still. He broke up with me because of my toxic behavior. I didn’t process anything at all because I drank like crazy for the first month apart, and have only been improving myself for the past month. We sort of reconciled in the last 3 weeks where I wrote him a letter of apology for my behavior while drinking. He forgave me but doesn’t want to be in a relationship anymore. I kept trying to reach out and he’s nice and always answers but I can’t hang out with him as a friend it’s too painful. It doesn’t seem to bother him as much. So I’ve been doing full no contact now for 1 week and plan on going for 30 days. We are coworkers but we don’t work directly together so we only just cross paths from time to time. My question is : in my situation do you think it’s too late for the no contact to be effective ? Is there still a chance ?
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 2 жыл бұрын
Work on yourself first and stop making this reconciliation a priority, because that desperation will show. I know it's painful, but try to be more constructive with your coping mechanism so you'll actually feel good as a result instead of putting you in a downward spiral. As to your chances, I really wish I could give you a direct yes or no. However, as it is, each situation is unique, so I suggest you take the free quiz as it hits on the critical elements that will determine your chances depending on your answers. In other words, my quiz can give you a more accurate answer than I can since as you may have noticed, there are various factors at play here which needs to be looked at as well as your own actions after the breakup. Here's the link: www.breakupbrad.com/quiz Best of luck!

Is it normal to want your ex back even when they cheated on you
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
It is, but it may not be healthy. There's no easy way to say this but the answer is is to move on, especially if your ex doesn't seem to be regretting their actions and/or making a solid effort to get back together after giving each other some time and space apart. Most of the time, a lot of people would move on, but a few would still fight for the relationship, so this all depends which side you're on and what your views are. But take into consideration about what I’ve mentioned here, too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OahX-brrqgrck There is no right or wrong answer here because it is your relationship and it's personal to you. Make sense? Anyway men and women cheat for different reasons, but if you think your ex is worth it and if there's been a genuine connection between you two before the cheating happened, then try to see the roles that you BOTH played that led to all this mess and see once and for all if it can be resolved or not, okay? Really take your time before deciding though and be sure not to make any hasty decisions from an emotional place. Someone asked me the same question as you and here's what I told them, refer to the second question: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3fKlGh8bqiea7M Take care!

Sorry to hear that. Yes, a breakup from a long-term commitment is extra painful. Right now though, you both need that time apart. Employ the 30-day "no contact" rule first. Here's how you can tell it's starting to work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/imW2q2l6nryFqbM Though make sure you follow the tips here as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpi1YWaImLpro9k AND some recent tips here: y2u.be/FLeP1eRCkCk Lots of folks seem to be oblivious about it, so here goes: the 30-day "no contact" rule, once COMPLETED, is just the first phase for most people (unless your ex sincerely wanted you back and it's shown in their actions). This would also help guide you on what to do after the "no contact" rule: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHLLfqWjrJiGo9U Anyway there are two more phases to go through if you want an ex back, and the third is to rekindle/rebuild the attraction with an ex. @BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that behaviour must've turned her off big time. She's lost attraction for you and it's a terrible idea to be friends with her. You need to cut off contact for at least 30 days first. Silence is key and here's why: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKiTdJurjah4o9k If you continue being friends right away, the boundaries won't be clear and you're technically both free to date other people. Wouldn't it be pure torture if your ex dates a rebound in front of you because you're only "friends" now, don't you think? So it’s not a good idea, especially if you want this ex back. Watch these two videos so you’ll know why being friends won’t lead you anywhere you wanna be with your ex and how to get out of this trap, respectively at kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfClJ2wnbt-d7s and kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYSXh2d_hMiCndU but read my Ex Factor Guide since that’s much more detailed and so you'll know how to go about it, what to do after each phase (there are three phases in total), including what to say, do or not do, along with free bonus materials for texting. Good luck!

You know, coaches say not to unfriend your ex on social media as that makes a person look petty, but yet we are to appear as if we are moving on. I don’t keep exes in my life as friend in person, so why would I keep them as a friend on social media? If my ex doesn’t want me a part of their life In person why would I keep them on social media? This does not make sense to me.

I broke up with my ex months ago because she was toxic with me and it devastated me because i have feelings for her. Now im talking to her again but she has a boyfriend and im still in love with her. I feel she is using him as a rebound but maybe im mistaken. When i told her have feelings for her she said that i texted that in a bad time because she is convincing herself to break up with him but she wants to keep trying to fix things with him. And now that she is living extremely close to me is driving me nuts.

Don't deal with her if she's still trying to figure stuff out with the other guy. Wait for a better time before interacting with your ex. @BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын

What if he pulls away because he has personal issues (which have nothing to do with me. I would say he almost got depressed because of his problems) that he needs to resolve ‘cause he just can’t keep on going like this? I don’t think that we really broke up (6 months relationship), I would rather say that he needs time alone to concentrate and work on these issues so I am giving him space but I’m still afraid to lose him. Watch/review and apply the pointers here first: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYK8ZYFmadqpqqM AND kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5_JiIWAh9ehd9U However, if you believe your situation is unique and there may still be a chance between you two, then let's take a look at your situation in-depth via my one-on-one coaching session at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching

The best thing to do right now is to admit to your ex that you've effed up and try to be patient and sympathetic with what your ex is going through and just disappear from your ex's life for a while, because right now, you are a constant reminder of the pain and your ex needs to heal from that first. And saying sorry is not gonna fix that right away, it takes time. By cheating, you're automatically putting the ball in your ex's court and have lost privilege to take your power back in all this. It's up to your ex now and how soon they can forgive you and move on from the incident, not necessarily from the relationship although some people do that. With that in mind, these may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGGpaaRofq6aqqc AND kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5-oYmxom7p-rqs Whatever you do, make sure you avoid doing the stuff here that will only push your ex further away: y2u.be/jikW4YYC9yo

I’ve broken up recently and I’ve started the 30 day no contact, the reason she broke up is still a question mark for me, she claims she wanted a time to be alone and didn’t want to date anyone at the moment but i love her so deeply i can’t let her go this easily. My quiz score was 74 and she hasn’t showed any signs of wanting to come back......yet. We were together for 7 months but everything, the connection and everything was more than that period is there any hope for me?

Your ex is most likely lying about the reason of the breakup so try not to fall for that. Discussed that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKariHaNmqxkrtU However, the bottom line is your ex has significantly lost attraction. Brad I'm not sure if you remember my past comments on how my break up happened (gf left because I did not contact her for a month). But anyway today after 2 months of separation, she text me that she miss me, tbh I did not want to reply back I miss you too but I had to because of the unique situation and reason of break up. And she also sent me her pics and was emotional, ended our conversation there. What should I do now ? I want her back in my life so bad but I'm not showing her that I'm desperate and needy. We are in LDR and she usually comes to our town once or twice a year. After break up we both text each other sometimes but I do it rarely just to ask how she's doing and ask about her parents. I see signs that she still loves me and miss me but idk if she wants me back.

Well... Do you really think that dating with someone new is the right way to get ex back? I really don't think so. It's nice advice for loose your love for ever, be sure... No contact plus dating new one never brings your ex back... Experiences from my life and people's around me.... Thank you for your time and effort to help, but I see that's way to make people feel better not get back someone they love.
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
You've already lost your ex the minute your ex ended things with you. In some, although not all cases, the dumper planned the breakup days, if not weeks or months before dropping the bomb. In other words, your ex has the upper hand from the get-go. Dating or getting to know someone new will keep you from heading towards a downward spiral where everything is hopeless. The lower your energy is, the lesser your chances of ever getting an ex back. A lot of people, although again, not all cases, have gotten their exes back using this method, assuming it's done correctly of course.

@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
Fighting is often unavoidable, but when it becomes too much, it’s time to nip the problem in the bud if you still can. So it's either that or you go on a break and discuss the logistics as well as how it should go and how long it should be. What were you two fighting or arguing about? It's best to consider the relationship overall first, so watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqatd5lrgMiba9E Anyways it's best to give it time because all this arguing had taken a toll in your relationship. This may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHOomZSPaMx_f9k Perhaps you've both argued more than you had a good time with each other? It could also be you're too incompatible or stubborn to meet each other halfway. If the negatives outweigh the positives in the relationship, that's when an imbalance happens and the relationship will keel over wherein one or both people will likely abandon ship, as the case with your ex. It's time to reset things. Start with the 30-day "no contact" rule to get your ex into a psychological neutral. Here's how it can help you: y2u.be/zw0ChuXCEmw

Hi Brad! I did no contact two months ago and it worked! He contacted me and wanted to give the relationship another chance. Unfortunately we both didn’t learn enough from our mistakes the first time.... we had a fight and he blocked me on instagram and my number. A week later he blocked me on snapchat too... he also did this the first break up, i feel like this is his way of having control? He didn’t block facebook yet, i think he’s testing me to see if i’ll reach out on there. Will no contact work a second time?
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 3 жыл бұрын
Aw that was close! Yeah, any type of drama will only set you back, so if you can, be the bigger person and just ease up, all right? After all, it takes two to fight or argue. And yes, your best bet is still to follow the "no contact" rule and this time, make sure you take your time to really be in a better state to deal with each other before even sending out the first text so you'll have a better shot at success on the next try, yeah? In your case, given what happened, he may not be receptive to your contact after the 30-day period, so do your best to extend it and give him more time. Best of luck!

Date someone new!? Wow. Never heard this advice though
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 5 ай бұрын
Well now you just did. Seriously though, the aim is to increase your confidence by socializing and to subconsciously know that there is life outside of the relationship/breakup and to get out of the tunnel-vision mentality most people have after a breakup that only their ex can fix it. So interact with people. It may be just on a friendship level, camaraderie, bonding over a new sport/hobby/activity, etc. and not restricted to just dating, perhaps I should've emphasized that, too, as I can see how it can easily be misconstrued. But if you do get around to dating someone that you truly like, then that’s good, as it would help to let you not seem desperate to get your ex back, which most exes can sense from a mile away, mind you. Anyway thanks for your input! :-)

It’s been 3 months of the breakup in a 16 year relationship,I’ve done no contact since day 3 of the breakup ( only time we message is to arrange and drop of our 4 year old daughter) my ex got with a new guy 2weeks after the breakup and moved in together after a month and got engaged after 2 months lol but on a serious note my daughter told me he punched her in the stomach,I know he’s got 6 domestic abuse charges against his ex and is a violent evil Person I’ve done my homework on him,so I tell my ex partner this and she laughed it off thinking I’m jealous but I promise to god I’m not,I know this is wrong and I’ll get told not to do it but I’m a ex boxer I’m waiting to bump into him and he’s going to get the worst beating of his life for hitting my daughter,I’ve never hit my daughter so what does he think he’s doing hitting her!! No one can change my mind he’s going to suffer for doing that to my 4 year old daughter.

Hey Brad please answer. My ex filled a restraining order to get me to move out our place ASAP when we broke up. However, we still have a child together and text daily about the kid. She has trust issues and that caused her to want to break up. I think about her daily because daily she sends pictures of the kid. We are court ordered to only talk about the child but those text make me miss her very much. Any advice as to how I can stop dwelling on her and get her thinking about me. I can't do no contact.

Before you focus on how to get her thinking about you, try to see why she had to file a restraining order, that's a little worrisome, along with the trust issue. What really happened? I suggest you address the trust issue part, that's how you get her to start thinking positively about you. Give her a good experience... but first off, give her space first. Do limited contact. Yes, you can extend the "no contact" phase if you're truly not ready yet. Average time is 30 days but can go anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks in usual cases. If there's been some endless begging and/or refusing to cut off contact, I usually suggest to give it more time, around 2 months or even more. The "no contact" rule is best applied when the breakup is still fresh. Discussed the importance of silence here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKiTdJurjah4o9k

The 30-day "no contact" rule can work for you in the following ways: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKiTdJurjah4o9k Your ex is diverting his/her attention to someone else, which is the easiest thing to do and is really just his/her way of coping. If anything, your ex is suffering, too, even though it may not seem like it. Discussed that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXyoZ6GYaZKhmqM So that's what you ought to be doing too. Here, watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYalf5dspal8hK8 so try to put your focus elsewhere because your ex is likely rebounding and you're only wasting precious minutes of your life worrying about something that's out of your control. Watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inPXk2ZqnN5psNk Now lastly, keep in mind that your ex is suffering too, even though they try to cover it up. Discussed that here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA
