Dear Renee, you truly share the most profound tapping scripts for people who experienced intense influences whilst growing up! When it comes to "pleasing" our family system, I can truly say, that one can adapt so much to our parents/grandparents story, that our life keeps staying a total mess - even though we try so hard to change something. A happy relationship, success, stable finances... this all can be blocked by the misunderstanding in our mind, that "being as equal as possible" means love and loyality. Whenever I image my dreams and goals being achieved, I feel bad, guilty and afraid of not being loved anymore. In fact, being happy feels totally unsafe (like you talked about in another video of yours). This is such a huuuuge issue for many of us, who weren´t given the chance to develop our true nature. My mum worries about me because I split from an abusive husband. I got in a new relationship with an aspergers man and she mistakes some of his traits for abuse or rudeness. While I understand why she worries and that she's just looking out for me I know that this man is nothing but respectful of me and his traits are just being misinterpreted. I very nearly walked away as I wanted my mum to approve but I haven't I have stayed because I trust my own judgement.

It was her job to help you learn how to be happy she failed you as a parent it's her fault she is to blame for trying to parentify you. You are not responsible for your parent's happiness they are responsible for your happiness when they fail to do their job you can't do your job. Your job is to be happy and live a good life. If you decide to have kids it's your job as a mom to love your child and that will make them happy. It's your job to love yourself and be happy that is your job. You don't have to have kids. If you do have kids those kids are the only people you are responsible for their happiness. You are not responsible for making your spouse or partner happy. That is their job and their parent's job. You can ADD value to your partner or spouse's happy life. But never feel responsible for MAKING your boo feel happy overall. You can't resolve your significant other's childhood trauma. You can't resolve your parent's childhood trauma. It's your parent's job to resolve their own trauma before having you so they don't dump their cr@p on you unfairly and ruin your childhood. If they ruined your childhood with their cr@p it's your job as an adult to resolve your childhood trauma before you have kids and learn what your parents failed to teach you as they never learned themselves how to truly love themselves and how to be happy with themselves and their lives before they had dragged you into this god forsaken world
