Omg Justin, you are so right! I just was thinking about this the other day. There's a constant stereotype being portrayed of gay men. They are always being shown as part of the glam team. In reality there are lots of elite professional gay men. I had a a gay professor who was brilliant and he had a Ph.d in Neuroscience. I feel there needs to be other representations of your community. And yes Nene does do the same thing, a couple of episodes ago, she talking about her clothing line, and she was like "I don't do anything without a gay on my team" or something like that. It just showed how she can openly exploit them and I was offended by that statement but I didn't hear no gay people say nothing so I just kept quiet and wondered if it was just me lol. They definitely trying to put yall in a box. Oh and when is the last time these women went out and marched for gay rights?

Thank you so much. I have been saying the same thing about how she stole phrases from Kevin and Makael. Have you noticed how she says "Won't he do it". Makael used to say that all the time then she started saying it. Celebrities are using friendships with people in the gay community on their shows as if they are accessories like shoes and handbags and I'm over it.

As outspoken as Kevin and Makael are about everything else, I'm surprised they haven't tried to sue her or be more vocal about it on their show. I can understand wanting to be professional but she can see they work hard and didn't need anyone but each other to make their show. Great Video 1st of all, 2nd Im a Chick who lives in Philadelphia and I hear a lot of women use that slang but only with there gay friends or when talking about Gay males. Me and my Husband was sitting on a trolley and over heard some girls saying we need to get some gay friends, but what was weird was it seem like they were on the inter web shopping for gay male friends. Me and my husband was dumbfounded but come to find out it is more popular then anything. My girlfriend told me girl you need you a gay male friend in your life, then she said I know a few if you want to meet and go out. I was confused like seriously do women really Shop for gay male friends. It is sad I don't mind meeting new people but to make them like pets is B.S. And shopping basically for Gay Males is wrong. I have been watching Kevin and Makael for years and I knew the moment she made her debut on our screens that she was going to use every single one of their phrases for her own benefit. It's sad they didn't trademark any of those sayings, but you never really expect people to use you to further their own agenda (especially someone you call a friend). Truth be told though, a good majority of these female entertainers use the gay community to "line their pockets," but no one ever calls them out on it (until now). I agree with this sentiment entirely. I feel that people are people and should be respected as such. As for the trends and terms, most of them are repeats of the previous generation. However, gay people are very influential and well-tuned. I noticed that when listening to Destiny's Child "Say My Name", I heard the term shady. I was like, was that inspiration for 'shade'? For me, I like gay people because they are positive, great listeners, polished, and builders of character. I have family members who are gay, men and women, and I wouldn't trade them for NOTHING. The LAUGHS, JOYS, and MEMORIES ARE TOO PRECIOUS. I met some stinkies before, especially with the comments and looks, but overall I had great experiences, especially with gay black men. I will admit that they are great for fashion advice and can piece an outfit together in a flash. It's like they have a trained eye. Also, they are great make-up gurus and know which colors best compliment the skin-tones. Now, I don't use them for those things, but I got to give CREDIT where it's DUE. However, I really like them for their personality, especially the ones at church. I like LAUGHING and you bet not go off-tune, lol. They may pass judgement from time to time, but will be that ear when you need it. In the past and today, I have been scared to approach them and speak to them on a friendship basis/ compliment them. So, I just stick to myself, but they should be respected as anyone else.

This is an interesting perspective (please don't attack me), but growing up religious I was always taught that (some) gay men imitate women. I actually was irritated about men who seem to only want to imitate the most hood, gutter, and basic characteristics of women. This is an interesting topic. What came first I wonder? Honestly Justinj1232 i feel the same way about Micheal Sam (football player) its like he's milking/exploiting his sexuality for endorsements fame etc....like, he is trash in football but he's only getting attention for being who he is. To be honest, I cal it Imitating the imitator. I am a lesbian and I personally from the gay community would like if not all gays are put in a box however, Please don't act like the Flamboyant Gay man didn't get his swagger from a woman. So females using the style of flamboyant gay males who got they style from women. You ask a flamboyant gay male who they idol is it's either a women or a gay male that idolizes a Women. Same thing with the Lesbian Doms. Telling women not to use Gays then tell the flamboyant gay male stop imitating females or lets leave it alone.
