Most engine oil are good enough if you change them regularly, 3/4k miles max.

I drive a 02 Mercury Sable LS and I always put in Pennzoil High Mileage. Never had a issue in the past 8 years I've owned it. The engine is still silent to the point I forget its on. Also helps that a Porsche engineer helped design the engine that these and many other cars have; the Duratec. They're solid engines, so ontop of a solid oil it goes far. Its got about 221K miles on it. These engines are known to last over 500K miles. You can abuse em' if you want to, but treat it right and thats much more better. Ofcourse the oils in this video are mostly lesser known brands. Anything that looks generic is risky. Just get yourself Valvoline, Pennzoil, Mobil 1 or Castrol and you'll be fine. My personal pref is Pennzoil. It might be a little more expensive than what you're comfortable with but you never want to skimp out on your oil.

The only oil you listed here I have seen in Canada is the Quakerstate. If a certain company's oil is bad, it is just logical to avoid their trans fluid as well. I do not agree with changing oil too early, excess change create excess pollution. I change mine at 10,000 km (6200miles) Toyota actually recommend 15,000 km but experienced Toyota mechanics said 10,000 km is much better. So for those who thinks more is better, why stop at 3,4000 miles , change it at 1000 miles then.

Quaker State Full Synthetic 5-30 It's great oil. I have 210,000 miles on my car and have not had 1 problem with the engine. I do change my oil every 3-4k miles.

@@CheckFacts360I've got 620,000 on my Chevy van using Quaker State..I choose Quaker State after hours and hours of research because it has the highest sheer protection at the highest temperature of any oil on the market. I own a HVAC company and I've had 3 other vans to surpass 450,000 miles with no issues using Quaker State. I've also got a Toyota Corolla with 390,000 miles with no issues. I change to oil every 15,000 miles in the vans because they usually travel 3,500 miles per month. I'm not changing the oil every 3.5 weeks.

You should look at the oil cap or owner's manual or ask at Autozone "What's the right Oil to put in my "2004 mode 125cc " or the motorcycle shop. Cars today are very sensitive and generally use 5-30, 5-20, 0-20 motor oils. Cars after the eighties don't recommend 10-40W oil or 10-30W.. Are you talking about a motor cycle?

Dude, they are not talking about salad Oil, the oil she is talking about is the stuff you put in your car engine. Don't confused the issue, some "wokie" will probably put olive oil in their engine and wonder why locks up. You and I both know, you don't put "motor Oil" on your salad, but you don't know what a "Woke" will do. There was a video of a "woke" girl pouring water into her engine where the oil goes and saying she didn't need no man telling her what to do. Wonder how far she got before her engine locked up?

All of these brands except quaker state appear to be counterfeit. I have never heard of any of them and don't know where they are sold except Amazon basics it tests right with super tech wally world brand. Oil is required to have certain info listed by law. If the oil meets your engine's specs, it's fine. Look for the API starburst, the appropriate rating (SP is the latest) and the viscosity recommended by your car's maker. If it's GM, look for the appropriate Dexos spec (1 or 2, depending on the type of engine). This video unfairly picks on Amazon and Quaker Stater oils which meet appropriate specs.

Modern oils are NOT supposed to have zinc in them. It damages catalytic converters. Older engines with flat lifters need oil with zinc, there are zinc additives and substitutes for those.
@twobeagles13659 күн бұрын
They still have zinc , just lowered levels, check product data sheet to find how much is in the oil.

Quaker State and Amazonbasics oils are fine oils. The other are most likely crap. Quaker State Full Syn oil has the strongest film strength of any oil on the market, that includes Amsoil.

Quaker State has been around longer than I was born in 1960. That's the only one on her list I've heard of. If you want the best, get Amsoil . That's all Rolls-Royce puts in their engines. Mobile is right under it, according to a comparison done by amsoil in the 80's. My neighbor has a Cub cadet has a 23 horsepower. He never changed it in 7 years or added. Amsoil makes the oil. I changed it for him he bought a kit and did other maintenance to it. Yes it's high, the oil in any engine is the bearing.
@Wizard68 күн бұрын
I change oil in my lawn mowers, Portable Generators, and tractors at the start of the season and then on the 4th of July. The worse thing you can do to an engine is run it low on oil, or run it too long on dirty oil. 7years on any internal combustion engine without changing oil is "cruel and unusual" punishment to any enigne/motor.
