My mother was using betnovate from last 5 years and even more than that , using it for long made her skin so light that her cheeks were always red just like she had applied a red blush...after sometime she noticed brown marks on her face she stopped using betnovate and those marks got even worse , more darker and spread all over her face , she was traumatized by it as she had a clear skin before it ....she had a lot of medication for her pigmentation, but nthg worked ......still she is doing medication and having hope that it will get better....mam can uh please recommend tips , ways or medication for it .

Hydroquinone is not a steroid itself . Its the formulation that contains steroid like (mometasone furoate) etc combined with hydroquinone and some hydroquinone creams are made with such formulation which can be problematic but you can also buy plane hydroquinone creams which are best if you wanna try using hydroquinone but obviously use with caution and only for three months at a time then take a break for atleast 2 months use sunscreen.Again HYDROQUINONE IS NOT A STEROID.

I had acne scars on my both cheeks. One day, my aunt suggested me to use Betnovet cream on my scars. I used it for one month. BIG MISTAKE! I was a kid who didn't knew better but today, 7 years later I'm still suffering from the damage it caused me. Betnovate can be your life changer or can make your life hell My grandmother used to apply betnovate and it worked on her . Still now my grandmother's skin is so glowing. But for my mother it's not the same case she got a very bad pigmentation bcz of the use of betnovate. Still it's not gone yet I recommend you all to use the things carefully not everyone's skin is the same
