I’m am obsessed with the book, I’m currently at page 500, and I love you already for reviewing it on this platform.. I feel like a lot of people still haven’t read because it doesn’t have an audiobook and some of the terms and terminology is a bit hard to grasp ! But I like I said! I am eating this book up! What’s funny is this is the second book I’ve chosen to try and get back into reading.. I’m only 100 pages in but I am loving it so far. Maybe I’m not so my entry level because of my love of fantasy in general but can say I’ll be finishing it sooner than I thought lol

It took me two months to finish this book. I was not totally in loved this book, I felt like it dragged. I wanted to love it and push through it to see if it got better. I think the last few chapters was the best part. I really wanted to love it like everyone else 😢

You captured this book so well! I really thought the main character was actually funny (a lot of authors miss this mark). I also enjoyed the mystery element! There were several times I yelled out loud. Easily my favorite book of 2024! Great review without spoiling.

I just realized, I think you might really enjoy the Italian language (if you’re interested in language learning of course.). I studied Italian literature in college and the way Italian authors write is very descriptive, with long beautiful sentences. It’s not just the poetic nature of the prose, it also lends itself to the structure of the Italian language, with “run on” descriptive sentences being considered beautiful (opposite of English)….. just a thought 😅 Also, I’m definitely going to pick up this book

I watched your video and dropped what I was doing to go read it. Thank the good lord it was on KU. I just finished today and I had basically the exact opposite experience. This is, far and away, one of the worst books I've ever read. The main female POV is an insufferable narcissist, the main male POV is ridiculous and emotionally stunted, there isn't a single likable character and the world is uninteresting. The vast majority of the plot, especially the "twist" at the end is entirely undercut by.......SPOILERS.......the fact that you can simply write a magic letter to anyone and it will fly to them and you can follow it. Couple that with magic that can make paper easily traceable and the entire ending, and most of the plot points, fall apart entirely. The main villain was unbelievably, mustache twirlingly, cartoonishly evil with zero depth. There was no emotional weight no matter how many sentences You. Write. Like this. I think you make great videos, but you could convince me that you meant this video to go out on April 1st. I don't think I've ever disagreed with a review from a reviewer I respect more than for this book.
