In HyperFocus, Chris Bailey - described by TED.com as 'the most productive man you could ever hope to meet' - provides profound insights into how we can best manage our attention. He reveals how the brain switches between two mental modes - Hyperfocus, our deep concentration mode, and scatter focus, our creative, reflective mode - and how the surest path to being our most creative and efficient selves at work is to combine them both.

• Practice Low Stimulation (cooking, clean house, etc) • Sort your Sleep Cycle (sleep for 8-9 hours) • Practice Mind Wandering / Scatter FOCUS ( like walking without having phone,music... let your mind roam ) 1) Task is too stressing - breakdown in smaller chunks 2) Task is boring - practice low Stimulation 3) Too overwhelming (too many stuffs to do) - write to do list ,etc 4) Not sure why are you doing task - write why in detail 5) Nothing to do - Assign yourself challenging tasks

1. To have low stimulation : we have become addicted to short things. We have less patience and less focus because of our habits. To overcome : 1. Do boring tasks. Eg : counting letters in a paragraph, read books, do such tasks which need focus. 2. How to increase attention space? Sleep. Have a proper sleep cycle. Proper time. 3. The art of doing nothing : many great ideas come to mind when you're doing nothing. Eg : wash utensils, walk. 4. When do we get distract ourselves? I) feeling stressed : break your task into small chunks II) feeling bored : low simulation tasks III) overwhelmed : journal. IV) when we're confused : ask yourself why you're doing the task, is it meaningful? V) when we have nothing to do : follow a hobby, or make a plan

Buddha also talks about 5 hindrances to meditation. They are forces in the mind that can hinder our ability to see clearly or to become concentrated. Which are similar to what the author wrote in this book. The hindrances are: 1) sensual desire (Unused attention space), 2) ill will (feeling stressed), 3) sloth and torpor (feeling bored), 4) anxiousness and worry( Overwhelmed with personal concerns), and 5) doubt( Confusion about work/task you are performing).

Here i want to share my real story,im a 2nd year mbbs student and during my entire entrance preparatory duration when i was studying 13-14-15 hours daily but in parts like i was studying 45 minutes with full concentration and the remaining 15minutes of one hour i was always trying to scattered my concentration from studies and was doing push ups or making tea or frying chips for myself,or wasting time in bathroom which now the auther said it is the scattering of attention now i came to know that how naturally i was doing with out reading or listening auther chris bailey book or summary.the only thing is that when ever we are on our maximum attention then the whole character written books are naturally transfered to our minds but for that u have to focus just on yourself to make ourselfs better day by day,❤❤❤❤ thanks
