Why don't they just put a BIG sign at the entrance to the sidewalk? I'm not saying that the drivers are right, or even telling the truth when they say that they didnt see the sign, but a BIG sign, at EYE level, or at least not a small sign on a post higher up, would at least take the excuse away from the drivers. If I were a driver that did not know the area, and I saw cars parked on a paved area in front of stores, I would think it was a parking lot too. Even the lady PEDESTRIAN didn't know about the signs. Also the stores should be forced to put up NO PARKING signs on their walls, or the city can put signs there that say that cars will be towed and/or owners fined for parking there.

I love you guys and the work that you do, but if you are going to do this because its the right thing to do (and you are correct with that, in every way) then telling the truth should be a top priority. You had absolutely no reason to lie to that man, aside from maybe wanting to avoid a problem, but if you are going to be a man of principles, than being a man of truth should be at the top of the list to make that happen.
