"Stop a Douchebag" - is a Russian youth movement that attempts to enforce the traffic regulations in Russia.
We do not fight for the law. We fight for people to think about the rights and convenience of others regardless of whether there is a police officer near them or not.

+Vague Memory You do realize that the justice system operates under the presumption of innocence, right? Every person needs a defence, that's how out adversarial court system is set up. Prosecution often hammers charges way above what would be considered reasonable in order to negotiate a plea bargain. If you have no defence, the prosecution will destroy you, even if you're innocent.

or run or kills your child. Do you get sued for property damage even though someone is driving on the sidewalk and kills your child or puts them in a wheel chair for the rest of their life. Got to say youz have a messed up system over there. Like here also money hungry lawyers. Body injury costs a lot more than a car. You should have lawyers jumping at your feet when they hit you on the sidewalk. More money to be made from personal injury than getting some car hood repainted. No wonder you see so many people being run over by cars than any other country. Some say America is bad, but to have a gov that lets this happen. They truly must not really care about their citizens, but instead only for the favored few. They meaning higher up political officials. China does a far better job and they prob have the most of anyone that have people walking and running cars in the same area. Sure do not hear about people in china running down their own people on sidewalks.

Well, if I noticed correctly it was a Mercedes, so they probably have some patented 15 stage spray system that requires 3 unicorn horns and a bucket of gold to mix and then an entire team of NASA engineers to apply. So, the dude might not be that far off. Source: 3rd generation auto body repair man. Edit: that is of course if you go to the dealership to have it reapplied. If I were to do it as an entire respray, maybe $150.00 U.S. to make it look brand new, if it isn't some weird paint. If it is some crazy specific paint, maybe $300 at the most. It also could likely be fixed without repainting as long as dude is wearing a jacket without metal clasps or buttons. I don't know the current U.S. Dollar to Russian Rubble exchange rate, but if his apartment is worth that little, I am sorry.
@Jas2davir
@Jas2davir 8 жыл бұрын
this is how it works, what the lawyer is saying is that after he drags them to court and wins the case the losing party of a law suit will have to pay for settlement and also for the cost of trail for both party. That guy who's repping the mercedes girl would charge a shit load of money forcing the kid on the hood to pay that much, also they will be over exaggerating the damage caused by the guy on the hood "forcing" much more than a simple repaint, thus what seem like a $400-1000 fix could come up to a 20-30k fix with all factors considered.
@V_channel_
@V_channel_ 4 жыл бұрын
If you go by the books, it can be true. My neighbor had the hood and bumper of his '03 G55 AMG fixed and repainted by Mercedes and his insurance paid them a bit less than $19000 for it. Now, when you realise that in some parts of Moscow a small apartment can cost less than $23000 that lawyer is not too wrong. Of course that "lady" will not ever have it fixed by Mercedes for those outrageous prices so it won't happen, but it is possible.

kmurder02 Please put one of these stickers on your face. If I am not allowed to walk on the road or cycle on a highway then YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to drive on a sideWALK. It doesn't matter if there are people or not, you are a car so you belong on the ROAD! There are laws for that so please stop acting like if it is the survival of the fittest on the road or law of the jungle! And building more streets are only bringing more traffic, that is known! So besides endangering pedestrians it will not solve the problem if a city has too much congestion because of too many cars in the city.
@199022009
@199022009 8 жыл бұрын
+kmurder02 Wow. You actually destroyed your own argument. "...minority of people that WOULD be dangerous on the sidewalk because they are too retarded." You kind of forgot that there actually are people walking on the sidewalk who are either very young (taught that sidewalks are for people only) or are actually physically challenged (disabled people who don't have the speed nor agility of normal people, and autistics and CP's who don't know any better than sidewalks are for people only). You also conveniently forgot that brakes fail, and that a 900-kilogram mass of metal moving at 10kph can still kill that rare, slow-moving, slow-thinking CP pedestrian. And even if rare, one death is still one death too many. Yes, while in your opinion, you *might* be right that this is a petty reason, they at least have the guts to fight for something they actually believe is right (and are actually changing things, as proven by the fact that they have fans which results in less traffic violations), rather than trolling about in KZbin comments sections using a username which includes a heinous crime made up just to sound a wee bit badass. Props to you for successfully trolling this comments section. Or at least I hope you're just trolling. You would actually be quite pitiful if you turned out to just be stupid. I'll be back in a few hours to reply to whatever verbal counter you have, so please be patient. I've still got other, mundane stuff to do. Or did you conveniently forget that other people do mundane stuff as well?
@199022009
@199022009 8 жыл бұрын
kmurder02 Let's say you're right. Let's say they're fake. Let's say that they (verbatim, copy-pasted from *your* reply) "only do what they do because it pisses the shit out of people, it causes drama, then they get views. They do it because it's spectacular, not because they're scared that some dork's brakes will fail while there is a paraplegic mongoloid zigzagging on the sidewalk at the exact same time." It does not change the fact that what they are doing helps. Fake or not, truthful to the cause or not, it works. They have fans, and you can bet that fans are following the traffic rules. Got anything else?

+Uf0nius How about custom made thick steel boots with spikes? If anything, the pedestrian can say that the driver drove over his/her foot. WHILE driving on a sidewalk!
@andrejspetersons8500
@andrejspetersons8500 9 жыл бұрын
+Uf0nius The point is not to damage private property, but to prevent drivers using sidewalk as a road by teaching them a lesson. A speed bump is also used that way, if you drive too fast - you will damage your car. Risking a leg injury? These guys are risking their lives! One day a drug addict might just run them all over at high speed without blinking an eye. Besides, the boots I described, should only be used as a last resort when a car is surrounded by pedestrians but still wont stop.

It's so ridiculous that it's impossible for me to imagine that a lawyer would come up and advocate for the assailant (driver) b/c the car is EXPENSIVE and somehow connecting that to the victim selling his apartment to pay for painting the hood. It's unreal. You guys should get a nobel prize for making a daily difference.
