Anytime I see these I think “if I was busted I would just back out and realize that I screwed up” but then I realize “wait, I would never be driving in a pedestrian zone in the first place.”
@Lyssor6 жыл бұрын
Nah you wont. In this case the mentality of not admitting being wrong kicks in, thats actually where most of the conflicts - not just in stop xam- came from.
@janedoe61816 жыл бұрын
Noah Smith I think that there are times when people honestly don’t realize they’re doing something wrong. Herd mentality is a powerful thing. Imagine...You’re unfamiliar with the area you’re in. You see cars parked near a place you need to get to. You attempt to park your car in the same area, not realizing you’ve just parked somewhere illegally. This is when the true character of a person comes through. When they’re told they’ve just driven through a pedestrian only zone and are about to park illegally, one of several things can happen. Those who have honestly made a mistake and had no intention of breaking the law would do as you and I would do...back up and leave the place.

Whats because the law doesnt install some fences or something. Especially at this sberbank is so much illegal traffic.
@Kronikman076 жыл бұрын
Even though they put that button on the wall of the bank, I bet people still park in the way of getting to it. So if someone were in a wheelchair, and cars are parked in front of it, how is someone supposed to get to it? What if they cannot stand, and you have to squeeze past the cars to get to the button, you still can not go up the ramp. Worthless to do that.
@elektrotehnik946 жыл бұрын

yea i'm in a wheelchair so it's easy to have that perspective haha
@janedoe61816 жыл бұрын
fightwatcher07 Yeah, that button is not going to solve the problem. But then, I think the disabled in Russia are looked at as second class citizens. Their mobility needs are just an afterthought.
@elektrotehnik946 жыл бұрын
that's hard... you're the first one in a wheelchair that I've spoken to :) Just wondering, how do you like people to react when you tell them you're in a wheelchair? Like, just keep cool about it, like it's not a big deal? Also, where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? Well, I always cleared snow off the wheelchair ramps when I was working in a store, even though others didn't :D my little win
@Kronikman076 жыл бұрын
idk, never really thought of how I'd want people to react. It's annoying hearing them say they're sorry, but that's such a common reaction to most things. I guess just say like, ah shit, or something, and then talk normally. And i'm from America. North Dakota is my state of residence.

@deadmanfly15876 жыл бұрын
well, in russia the ambulance and so are allowed to drive on the sidewalk in emergency situations.
@purewonka6 жыл бұрын
Yes, makes sense. I visited Moscow in the late 80s. There was no traffic. It was a peculiar situation to be at a crosswalk waiting for the light to give pedestrians the right of way and there would often be no cars visible in either direction. I got yelled at by cops for crossing the street before the signal gave me the right of way, and there was not one civilian car on the road. Having emergency vehicles drive in pedestrian zoned areas is very dangerous.
