These people were either granted permission to freely demonstrate in a certain area but went pass barriers they were not supposed to, destroyed public property, or attacked the police. These are offenses in most civilized societies. The arrested can prove their innocence in court.

Monies that are supposed to go to the government for nation-building goes to individual's pockets (chiefs and politicians). Moreover, our water bodies, forest and farms are being destroyed. Can anybody go to any of the developed countries and bribe an individual to start mining. Our laws must be looked at again.

@@wisdomwavestv3274 lawlessness is allowing Ghanaian water bodies to be polluted and destroyed just because your party member owns the Galamsey company. Lawlessness is when the ruling party openly declares that they are indeed part of the current problems . Lawlessness is when the ruling party is borrowing and leading the country to IMF and not focused on the people but it's families and party benefactors... Is a shame Ghana !!!We have tried for 30yrs + eye ....me am going for NKB ...the old wicked men ...MAHAMA and AKuffo Addo are dry bones ...they have nothing to show for and nothing to give ....they need to step away kraaaa ...this year we ain't going to play around kraaaa ...

It is quite sad that some people who seek power actually do so just satisfy their own selfish desire. Their actions do not seem to be in tune with the interest of the country. 🎉How can we, as a country, make any meaningful headway when on one breath government is fighting against the menace of illegal mining. On another breath, opposition is also inciting the 'galamseyers' against the efforts of government. We seem to be doing a "cos 90" job
