The cinematic is about The Past, The Present and The Future. The Past is of Kayle and Morgana, before they decided to go their separate ways of dealing with justice. It also explains how Aatrox already knows them despite not knowing Demacia itself, simply cuz at the time this happened Demacia wasn't Demacia yet. The Future is of Yasuo, fighting one last time when Ionia got invaded again and at the end Kindred kills him while Yasuo accepting the arrow of the Lamb. The Present is of Tryndamere, and his non acceptance of death, both by the Wolf and the Lamb, due to his partial "anger fueled blood magic. Everytime he ults he sees the actual death - Kindred , instead of his enemies.

God that glance from Kayle at 2:44 drives me crazy, the amount of storytelling from just that alone. It speaks so much to their dynamic and how they subvert the typical “light and dark tropes”. Morgana appeared genuinely concerned when Kayle was smashed into that wall, and we can see Morgana collapsing in the background while Kayle readies her blades which implies her chains drained her greatly. She still has so much love for her sister and in one single look Kayle showed that none of that matters to her. She’s so blinded by her black and white view of good and evil she can only regard Morgana with bitterness and contempt. Lovely reaction as always, can’t wait to see more ❤

Kayle doesn't hate Morg, she always disliked Morg's insistence on lowering herself to the mortal level, and the difference in approach, but in all mediums where they interact Kayle does not show hatred to Morg.

I don't think she doesn't have disdain for her there but more like "we got a duty to fullfill" while morgana was worried about mission kayle only thinks about defeating aatrox there. so its more like kayle is burying her emotions to fulfill their duty Kayle doesn't hate her (or dislike her yet)... she just too focused on duty not seeing human part of people around her.

Not really. Kayle is angry at Morgana because she renounced her divine nature (her mother's sword planted in the dirt) and used her human powers to fight Aatrox. Notice how Kayle banishes Aaotrox using both of Mihira's swords: that's Kayle choosing her divine aspect over her humanity, and that's also the moment she and Morgana broke away from each other. P.S. In the days leading up to the cinematic, I was thinking of what would have been cool to see as I was assuming that Aatrox was going to fight Tryndamere, and I thought the fight between Kayle and Morgana (the one that ultimately killed their father) would have been a cool visual as those two hadn't been shown in a League cinematic since the Beta right? But what we got was so much cooler than I ever could have thought up, even though my wish to see them came true

Kindred is the Grim Reaper of their universe. Everyone who accept death gets "the lamb", everyone who doesn't accept death and tries to run from it, gets the (violent) death of the wolf. Future old man Yasuo accept his death (arrow of the lamb). You can see the eyes of the wolf in the tree line btw. Tryndamere is dying in the snow, so his death throes is literally a fight against the Grim Reaper/Kindred. I think Tryndamere is a perfect choice here for fighting the wolf, since his ultimate is literally "i dont accept death" :D Also notice how Kindred drop the bow and stop fighting as soon as she senses Ashe's presence, since she know that Tryndamere is out of danger now.

I was also very excited about the scene that showed Tryndamere rejecting death. In League of Legends whenever Tryndamere uses his ultimate skill, he can't die. Mixing that idea with Kindred was so smart. Also i don't know if you knew but the lady at the end of cinematic is Ashe and she is married to Tryndamere.

At beggining you hear Kindred voice (it's Lol version of death reaper, presented as wolf and lamb). First part is past, Morgana and Kayle fighting Aatrox in Demacia, long long time ago. Mid part is old man Yasuo, using his power last time (notice, he is not killing those guys). Then you can see wolf shadow in forest and lamb arrow. That means Yasuo accepted death and died. Last clip is "now" in lore. Tryndamere ultimate ability is "Undying rage". That means literally that he is too pissed off to die. In this cinematic you can see his perspective, everytime when he is close to death he needs to face the death (Kindred). Actually he is fighting bad guys.

6:35 it s "zeffira" .... this cutscene refers to 3 different periods... "present" with trynda... "past" morgana, kayle, aatrox (around 1000 years)... and "future" yasuo... in each scene we can see the incarnation of kindred at the time of the death of a character... in the flames with aatrox, in the hill with the arrow in the air with yasuo... and trynda, but he can't die, he had to darkin blood in him.

Kindred appears 3 other times in the video excluding the end. Once during the initial scene when tryndamere is on the snow, another after Aatrox dies and then once more during Yasuo's death.

Aatrox was fighting in Demacia before it became Demacia. The cinematic covers past, present and future (Young Morgana and Kayle, present Tryndamere and Ashe and possible future Yasuo) Also Kindred appears in all 3 timelines, it is subtle. This was a very nicely done Cinematic, a great make up for Last Year. It was interesting how we jumped around through moments in the Past, Present and a possible Future, But with Kindred’s constant presence throughout this Cinematic, it makes me really wonder what this really was supposed to be about? Speaking of Kindred, I really appreciate that we finally got to see Kindred in a Cinematic, I have always wondered how they would look like in one and I guess we got a accurate depiction of how they hunt their prey, very interesting, I hope we get to see more out of them.

it's so nice to watch you recognizing champions on the spot even though you don't play! The kindred fight is more a symbolic one but for me the highlight. Tryndamere is actually fghting these people (you see at the very beginning of the cinemtatic- there you also see faintly kindred's silhouette that he beginns to see) and starts his ultimate which is a rage mode (red eyes) where he does not sustain any damage for a few seconds. You see him fighting kindred in his rage mode as he is so close to death but the moment his wife Ashe fires the 2 arrows at the people that wanted to strike him (in real time) from behind - as she rescues him you see kindred lowers her bow and dissapears, revealing Ashe. That was so emotional, epic and beautiful - it is already my best couple moment of 2024! Tryndamere and Ashe are originally married because of political (tribe) reasons but in late lore they get closer which you can see in their faces - I really value that. Tryndamere's expression when he sees her is absolutely real - you can see the surprise and relief and the trust they have in each other as companions - it is amazing. With this cinematic they established the fantasy of every time tryndamere is in his ultimate, that he actually fights kindred as he is close to death - that is so cool - I really love it and animation wise this fight for me was the creme of this big cake we got served. It was truly epic and the awesome composition of 2WEI makes it truly perfect. I just wish we would get a movie in this quality but I guess this is too much to ask cause this would cost a fortune. But now I am really invested in future lore of Tryndamere and Ashe coming ;D

The song means death is "Still here" no matter if its past, future and present. Kindred took Aatrox in the past...as you can see by the shadow shape of Lamp on the flames signifying Kindred taking Aatrox after Kayle's attack...then he took future Yasuo signified by that light arrow and the wolf shadow in the background below the arrow on the end of the scene as Yasuo accepted his death...then Tryndamere trying to fight death in the present...The scene where Tryndamere was fighting Kindred (death) while he is berserk on his "Undying Rage" as he refuse to die during that time while Kindred tries to take him, while his real body was on berserk mode fighting the warriors, the scene where Kindred not shooting the last arrow signifies that Tryndamere yet again escape death because Ashe saves him and Kindred disappeared or the loom of death disappears for Tryndamere as Ashe saves his life. This is literally a cinematic about Kindred and what they do... Kayle, Morgana and Aatrox scene is set on the Past Damacia...The Yasuo scene is future Ionia... Tryndamere and Ashe is the present timeline...

An interesting thing a lot of people don't notice, is that in the future version, Yasuo never actually hurts the marauders. He uses a non lethal weapon - the staff - until it breaks. Even after he picks up the sword, he only uses it to channel his wind magic to knock people away and in the case of the last guy, push him away from the arrow storm that would have killed them both.

The Kayle and Morgana vs Atroxxfight is at a young Demacia happening in the past while they were still the Winged Protectors ....before they have they falling out ... which was awesome to see . you can also see Lambs silhouette for a brief moment after Kayles fire consume Atroxx The description says the video has past, present and possible future ... the last one certainly describing the Old Yasuo scene ...as its actually showing his death ... as at the end he chooses to take down the running leader while there is a barrage of arrows coming at him instead of protecting himself and in the background we can see the silhouette of the Wolf with burning eyes and as Yasuo closes his eyes at the end we see Lambs arrow as he accepts his death At the start we see Tryndameer surrounded and at the end we see him fighting for his life beautifully represented as him fighting the actual avatars of death ... while in reality his is fighting the attackers .... balancing at the edge of death ... symbolically we see the battle end with Lamb lowering its bow as Ash rushes to save her husbands life .... ending with calling for aid as more attackers appear from the trees

The lore of the cinematic as i take it: In first scene we see Kayle and Morgana, they are fighting side by side both having their powers, when both of them are pushed to their limits Morgana gives away her powers as aspect of justice and binds Aatrox even if for a moment, then we can see Kayle taking Morgana powers representing her taking Morgana's sword and looking at her sister with disgust, when Morgana falls to the ground Kayle ascends and kills the host of Aatrox, we can see lamb in the flames showing his death. In the second scene we see bandits raiding ionian village and yasuo as old man standing his ground, each time he uses his power bondages on his arm unravel and at the end we can see his acceptance and kindred's arrow ending his life, we can see wolf in the shadows right before arrow falls. In the last scene we see Tryndamere fighting against a group of enemies, it is represented as him fighting kindred both wolf and lamb refusing to die, his red eyes represent his ability to become immortal for short period of time, in the final scene we can see kindred lowering her bow when ashe saves him from last enemies just in the moment he is about to die, seeing that its not the time to claim tryndamere, kindred disappears. This cinematic represents that death is timeless showing one scene from the past one from present and one from future, it also shows both aspects of kindred, when Aatrox's host dies we see lamb idle while wolf delivers the final blow, wolf hunts down those who resist death. When yasuo dies the wolf waits as the lamb's arrow is the final moment. Lamb brings peaceful death to those that accept it, tryndamere fights both wolf and the lamb defying natural order using his powers and in the end does so successfully avoiding death.

Other than kayle and morgana falling from heaven onto earth, none of the scenes had any impact or heaviness at all. Yasuo's sword didn't even connect

This is such a good cinematic. So many things to go un-noticed however,with the first watch, I did notice Kindred when Tryns eyes close the first time and you can see the outline of her/him in the distance and the outline/eyes of wolf in the Yasuo scene. First time watching, I miss that the snow stopped falling in the final battle between Trynd and the enemy. I also didn't notice Kindreds arrow coming to claim Yasuo even though i could see he has accepted death and the outline/ eyes of wolf in the distance. I don't really have anything more to add other than Ashe is my favourite champion and seeing Tryns eyes go from the red rage to the blue/grey still and calm is so overly heart warming, that this warrior who refuses to die knows, that with his wife by his side, can accomplish anything.

This is happening in the past. There’s a few ways to tell. First the description of the video gives it away as it’s kindred talking. Second that’s an older version of Demacia, you can tell because it’s still being barricaded with wood and stuff. This is before Kayle and morgana have a falling out. Speaking of which morgana still has her sword in this. Kayle in current lore has both of her mother’s swords, where as in this cinematic each of the sisters were given 1. They’re fighting a weaker older version of Aatrox, likely he just doesent have a strong enough host. The Yasuo cinematic is a possible future where Ionia gets invaded again. The arrow he splits in half pays off fully later when he lets the kindred arrow hit him. He could have split it in half but he’s accepting death here as an old man. I think Yasuo might be the first champion to have a confirmed death. Permanent death. Gone forever. The tryndamere part is happening in the present. Who knows what EXACTLY is happening though freljordians always fight eachother. Because kindred is death, while he IS technically fighting kindred, he’s also fighting off the dudes attacking him. He’s close to death so he sees kindred instead but tryndamere R too op so he manages to fend kindred off until Ashe comes to rescue him, and because Ashe is rescuing him he’s not dying anymore so kindred backs off. Likely not the first or last time Tryndamere will see kindred either. I think the cinematic is hinting that every time he uses his Darkin blood magic to stay alive he’s always in a fight against death

Yasuo is then shown in the future (or specifically a possible future) in Ionia (thats why he is old) Tryndamere fighting Kindred is then in the present (somewhere in Freljord)

Yeah you're so right at the end, Riot only puts out high end cinematics on a one, maybe two a year tops (and 2023 was such a disappointment it was basically zero!), so if you have a champion that you really like, odds are you may NEVER see them in one of these. I think that's why seeing Kindred here at the end, one of League's best designed champions period but one that is generally hard to fit in with anyone or anything else, hit so hard. And they really hit it out of the park with her/them. Kindred got the spotlight as the mega badass she is (or they are, I should say). When you have over 160 champions screentime is hard to come by. They can't ALL be Jinx or Lux. Can't wait who gets their time in the light next year.

You can notice kindred is always there, in past, present and future. yasuo accepted his fate and died a peaceful death, kindred shadow appeared a little when aatrox 'vessel' died by kayle flames and for trynda, everytime he ults, he faces death but he can't really kill them, only resist while facing the threat in the mortal world. kindred do not attack as they please, they target those whose fate is about to end. Think of trynda's rage as an extended trial, it can last for now, but until he faces a threat that he can't handle or dies of old age with no way to resist his fate, kindred will claim him sooner or later. After all, kindred have more than enough time, among the death spirits, you can say kindred is among the top ones

The motif is Death / Kindred. You see Wolf in the flames of the past attempting to take Aatrox (but we obviously know he fails as the Kayle/Morgana/Aatrox+ storyline is ongoing and they are currently locked in battle with Xolaani). You see Yasuo accept death through Kindreds arrow in the future as is referenced with the transition as well. Then we come back to Tryndamere in the present as he is down and seeing his death approach despite the soldiers surrounding him, using his ultimate ability (defy death for 7 seconds), and is assigned to Wolf to drag him under; however he fights Death long enough for Ashe to save him from the soldiers that would have caused his demise.

The theme of the cinematic is death and mortality. Kindred (The Wolf and Lamb) are League's Grim Reaper. If you choose to die peacefully in your time and accept Lamb's arrow you will be granted a quick death, some cultures find this honorable like Demacians (The nation the valkyries founded and are defending) while others find it cowardly like Noxus or in the Freljord. Otherwise you can resist when Kindred comes for you and the Wolf will rip you to shreds and you will die a violent death. The red demonic man (Aatrox )fighting the two valkyrie looking women (Kayle/Morgana) wants to die but cannot because his spirit is trapped in the blade, he was once a hero but was driven insane after millenia fighting that fate, you can see the Lamb in Kayle's flames during the final shot before that part ends. The old samurai is actually League's most popular champ Yasuo. He's not that old yet in the game or current story progress, Riot is showing us a potential death for him years in the future. He could have blocked the arrow coming for him, but chose not to closing his eyes and accepting his fate. The final scene is the best, Tryndamere is a barbarian who because of Aatrox has the ability to resist death for a time as well, that fight between him and Kindred isn't literally happening, it's metaphysical, represents his struggle to not die because he was being surrounded by his tribes enemies and was on his last legs. Kindred saw it was not his time as ordained by fate because his wife (Ashe) saves him at the last minute and backs off, letting him live to fight another day.

Morgana and Kayle wwere my favorite part

Past, present, and the future. We see Kayle and Morgana before they split ways due to their ideologies of how justice should be achieved. Morgana’s wings aren’t broken yet and we already see Kayle disapproves of Morg’s use of dark magic. The future we see Yasuo fighting off another invasion of Ionia and it seems it’s his time to die. In one of the final shots we see the outline of Kindreds wolf in the forest and the arrow that’s gonna hit him is one of Kindreds arrows. He gracefully closes his eyes and accepts death. In the present we see Tryndamere fighting for his life. The cinematic implies that anytime tryndamere uses his ult magic he sees himself fighting death itself( in this world it’s Kindred). Towards the end Kindred lowers her bow just as tryndameres ult ends because Ashe ends up saving him. It was not his time to die yet.

well to the elephant in the room... we all are confused why is Yasuo old... after some consulation with Piotr we're working with 2 possible theories... 1. THEORY: Riot is making some preparation for next year (2025 should be groundbreaking for League - MMO or League 2.0) and for that purpose they are probably making characters mortal so they can kill them... it also probably mean that in 2nd season of Arcane some main character die... 2: THEORY: Yasuo ins't old he's just after sex with Ahri... xD

I commented that the old guy in Ionia must be Yasuo's teacher in one of the videos and so many people attacked me for it, making fun of me, so much so I can't even watch the god damn cinematic without feeling bad. This is why I hate the internet.

I had this thought too and even Necrit was thinking this way ar first. It was the scar that convinced me of Yasuo finally. And of course we got the Foreseen Yasuo skin now, so it is confirmed I guess. Still it is a shame to be bullied for an opinion. Take Arcane for example. I love all the theories that are spread. Most will be most likely wrong, but who cares? It is a great fun to imagine all these scenarios. No need to shut others down. Just give their ideas a thought.

The old Yasuo accepted his death peacefully and for having saved the lives of the people of that village in Yonia, so the one who took him was the sheep, that's why that white arrow among several others at the end and that's why he closes his eyes accepting that his time has come as the Wolf's shadow appears dimly. That's it, sisters! Possibly Morgana and Kaile's fight is to show the beginning of Demacia, even due to Morgana's clothes and the lack of resistance of her chains, in the final part we have the duo Trinda and Ashe, with Trinda fighting against the Kindreds is something commonplace for him lol since he's always on the threshold of death and life, right, and Ashe shows up to save him from dying to the two guys behind him, meaning it was a close call this time, Trinda lol.
