This was made in the 50’s and this was the best available format of the time. Many movie studios are up converting the old movies to compensate for the clarity and audio quality of some of the older movies. Despite that we like seeing movies from yesteryear’s which were family friendly.

I remember seeing this one with my parents. It was at least a couple of years after 1957. On the way out my mother said something about how good the colour was. I didn't find out that I was colour vision deficient until a few years after that.

Truly one of my favorite movies a have had the opportunity to watch. Robert Wagner and Joan Collins at a young age. Careful depiction of Japanese culture and honor. Can’t understand the few and the negative comments on the movie and Robert Wagner. Definitely one of the coolest characters and he does a great job in this film. Pre Bond but you can almost see that Sean Connery must have watched this film before he played the Bond role.

Both Wagner and Collins are alive over 90 today. Happy and long life.

@@BerthaRuiz-i3u Right on.. Japan is so bloody expensive a glass of water with a toothpick probably costs $150.00.... Exchange rate is off the charts. Wish I could go too.. I even play Shakuhachi.

@@sitarnutactaually Japan is very cheap. Much cheaper than Australia or most European countries. And it’s even cheaper now that the yen is so weak.

Yes, however; What's wrong with this PICTURE ? Cocoa goes to buy a pack of cigarettes? Cocoa lets unknown man into her house to stay overnight, because he says he's a friend of her father? This makes about as much sense as Audry Hepburn 's leaving her house key out under a front yard plant!

Lots of good family comedies. Plenty of Japanese movies written by Japanese everyone who worked on them Japanese Enjoy!!!!
