I still don't get whether Suwa Yorishige really has mystical powers or just did some trick? It wasn't until I saw that new character's(the thief) mask that I realized that this show has magic and supernatural elements so maybe this guy does have powers but he's also showcased fraud-like behavior so now I am not sure whether Yorishige really has powers or not.

Judging by the first 5 episodes, it's a 7.2/10 for me. It's not groundbreaking but it is entertaining. It's mostly comedic and action based with some brief gory and mildly tragic moments sprinkled in between. Also, minus a few CGI moments, the animation is top-notch.

Solid 8/10 with fantastic animation (with some exceptions), fun characters, and an interesting overarching narrative. I think it’s one of the best of the season.

4 and 5th episodes were heavy on CGI and quite fillery honestly, 6th is better. First episodes showed us that they can make it beautiful and interesting plot wise

@@editsbywizzy The brutality was pretty brief; just for the moment of the invasion. It may come back whenever the next large scale battle happens but as of yet the rest of the show has been starkly more calm in comparison. I'd say if you enjoyed the first half of the first episode you'd probably enjoy what the rest of the anime has to offer.
