Hi FOMO!, off subject do you think the Sony 85” X90L ($1,899.99) is still a good value for someone on a budget that wants the Sony reliability, the XR clear processor and a big screen? How much lower do you think it’ll go on Black Friday? I’m planning to get mine from Costco for the upgraded backlight remote and the included 5 years warranty. I wish I could buy the 85” Bravia 9 ($4,799.99), but I don’t think it’s worth paying almost $3K more for my usage (movie and KZbin streaming). What do you think? Thanks!

Another masterpiece review by the great Fomo. We appreciate you! I do however have one little disagreement? I don't believe the sound quality of the Panasonic is equivalent to the Bravia 9 and Hisense as you stated. I bet it is better and more musically and dynamically correct. I think you just threw that statement in the review to neutralize the Panasonic because that is a real deal breaker for not buying the G4 as well as other brands. Sonically you would have to do some real comparisons. Technics was always great leader in sound quality. I bet if you do the comparison Panasonic will beat the two brands you mentioned in terms of the musicality and spatial presentation of people playing music and orchestral movie tracks. Forget gaming noise...Try live recordings with staging perspectives and instrumental tonality reflected in brass instruments, string and percussion. Let's see which brand lets you feel the music and wanna dance! Brian shared this experience with his Panasonic review. He heard and felt the rhythms of the music and loved it.

@@nimblegoat Hi, your comment should be pinned by Fomo. Back in the 1970s I repaired the Phillips K9 TV. And we at Fisher & Paykel manufactured and assembled the Panasonic radio cassettes. Nostalgia for me. Personally I think the Micro & Mini LEDs are the future. No doubt about it. And within a few years that technology will be exponential. To another point, most people who purchase a TV won’t be doing these side by side comparisons of individual frames using Jennifer’s studio to enable them to make a purchase. To the genius Faisal, if we covered the manufactures name on the TVs, he probably wouldn’t know the difference. Pana and Sony are quite strong in certain departments just as LG are in theirs. Whatever TV you own, I wish you many great years and pleasure watching the old movies. There are some TV reviewers who even say not to be bogged down by specs and just go on your personal preference and price. Power to you, Fomo and the subs. Cheers Ak, NZ.

My only nitpick is that when you were comparing IT Chapter 2 it's clear they are stuck on different frames (look at the shape of light coming off flashlight) my guess is the Pana has as processing delay like we often see on Sony. You can probably avoid this next time by choosing a scene that is not so hectic or frantic as she is waving the light around in the dark so much here. Depending on where you pause the Z95A or G4 can look like they have better highlights than the other. If you say the G4 has better highlights/pop then I'll take your word for it

With most of the these top tier TV's picture quality is so close and unless you have them side by side I doubt most people notice the difference so if that is your deciding factor in this battle I would save the $400 and go with the LG G4. Picture processing of cable or streaming content is the big difference maker for me since I personally watch that type of content the most. If the content I am watching doesn't look good then it doesn't matter to me all the other bells and whistles or great specs that the TV might have. I think processing 4K signals they all probably look great. I have favored Sony TV's in the past because of their outstanding upscaling and processing of cable or streaming content but I am open to buying any TV that can compete with Sony in regards to picture processing. Panasonic has has a good reputation for picture processing so I am glad to see them back in the U.S. market. The competition should help us consumers continue to get better TV's. I have two skilled and well known artists on one side of my family, and they have very different ideas of what looks best... just creating something nice does not automatically make it the best version. They also make different looking stuff at 20 opposed to say at 70, so there is always room for refinement. Art is not the paper, paint, mode, or yes and no. It's about reactions and emotions. Way too close. You can just bump up the color a tad. DONE.
@FuIIDiveVR3 сағат бұрын
Bumping up Color setting compresses color not increasing colors. It just makes it so you see more intense red, green, blue rather than more shades of it.

@@FuIIDiveVR the shades aren’t the problem. They are there. It’s the intensity. We are splitting hairs as it is with these TVs. Pushing it up 1 or 2 would probably bring them on par. TVs can be slightly adjusted without it being detrimental.

I love Panasonic and my last one was the DX900 from 2016 which I chose over the Sony Z9D. It served me extremely well until fall 2022 when I purchased the Samsung QN90B and two months later the LG G2. I’d love to get another Panasonic as soon as I can here in Canada or purchase one in the U.S. and have it delivered to my family in California then ship it to me but I’m in the heavy hitter category now and I’m only interested in 83”/85” TV’s or bigger so Panasonics OLED is a non starter and the only Mini LED tv I’d buy now is the Bravia 9 @85” so Panasonic is still a no go for me but I’m very excited to have them back nonetheless.

There's no fun in backing up too much, 77 on the table and 8.5ft is much better, I really don't know how you guys like these sizes.

Can you disclose your sponsormoney from China?

I owned 2 panasonic tv's when they were in the states. I started buying LG's when panasonic left. Now they come back because they need US sales & for no other reason. They can take that tv & shove it & their company right up where the sun doesn't shine. I hope Trump puts a tariff on their butt. We don't need company's like them in the US.
