Looks like the orginal cargo cover would also still work with the location you put this mod Pretty nice

I have the cargo cover but never use it, so I honestly never even thought about if it would still work. I just ran outside and checked and it works perfect. The edge of the cover sits just about flush with the storage pocket.

@@zealousoutdoors lol 😆 I could tell my the angle at the end of the video I also use the cargo covers to hide things if going to multiple stores But I'm a Mechanic Shop owner so I'm normally stopping at dozens of stores to get shop supplies and products

What did you wire the USB and 12v Plugs to?

I have added a 2nd deep cell battery to both of my 4runners where the factory air box used to be. From that battery I have ran 4 gauge cable to the right rear side behind the factory 12v outlet and they connect to busbars. From there I have all the stuff individually connected and fused for the rear power. I also hooked the factory 12v outlet to this so it has power at all times even when the truck is off, so we can keep our fridges running all the time. The 2nd battery has an isolator to insure that my starting battery doesn't get drained.

@@zealousoutdoors wow man that is a very smart way of doing it And isolating the main battery from failure... I been enjoying your videos because youtube randomly pushed your 4runner videos probably because I watch a ton of 4runner videos as well as I make a bunch of them was my pleasure commenting and Giving your channel love Bro there isn't many of us 3rd gen owners that show content I feel you deserve more subs and views and I know as a youtuber... KZbin Algorithm likes to push videos with lots of interaction so I leave lots of comments hoping to get your content out there to be enjoyed by others.. some people hate I comment so much not sure why but I just like helping others.. you keep doing the amazing things you do and do your best to share i don't always record even though I want to and it's because it's more important to finish the work then to record it time is always a factor..

Did you use washers on the back side or do the screw heads have enough to hold?
@zealousoutdoors

The factory screws have a flanged head so they work pretty well by themselves. I did try to use fender washers but the factory screws were too short.

Man, such a quality idea and video. Thank you. Curious if you could help me with one question related to the sun visor: I'm 6'6'' so the visor, even when tucked up still impedes my view of the road and I'm tired of slouching down, lol. I know it's just two screws to undo it, but Im curious if I'll need to cap any electric wires since there is a little light on the mirror of the visor. I don't have any experience working with wires, so I've been hesitant to remove it. Any tips?

There is a connector for the visor wiring right behind the mount plate. You can just unplug it and tuck it into the headliner. There will be a hole but you could make a block off plate pretty easy. The loose connector shouldn't pose any issues staying behind the headliner. I hope this helps.
