Here something you might not now: You can actually place signs in the hub. I think this would be great for decoration as soon as you're doing that!

Mods I've decided to use in my 1.0 save: Halfling walls (Game should have them by now) Infinite nudge (Major QOL) Settings copier (Major QOL) Tajs graphical overhaul (Looks nice) Sky UI (Speed up night time) Finer foundation rotation (Can be achieved in vanilla with beams, QOL) Auto sort inventory (Major QOL) Object scanner highlight (Because I've played 2500 hours already) No Z Fighting (ZFighting sucks) Circuitry (Scary mod, personal challenge to learn)

Got iinfinite nudge, and sky UI. Also Infinite zoop, helps with foundations and walls. no z fighting sounds good, but trying to build with z fighting in mind, like can i fix it or prevent it vanilla. other than that, i would have to test some of those mods to see how they work if i wanted to use them, but thank you for the list and telling me what they do, that is very helpful.

I think nudge should be buffed, but idk about infinite. But i will say i do love that infinite nudge gives vertical nudging

@@RubyOneTake nudging should get a buff, maybe like 5 foundations in any direction would make a big difference and isnt to crazy

Aside from the mods ya'll mentioned, I really enjoy the counter. It's great with large builds with several belts.

16:14 what you could do is make it a double storage container but clip the bottom half under the floor so it still has the same appearance.

Something I think will help you place conveyor lifts in the future: you can press R (or whatever button changes the build mode) to toggle the direction of the lift.

I scattered radar towers all over my map. What a great tool. Makes plotting out new factories much easier. Edit: the Daisy Chain mod is amazing btw. No more power poles all over the place.

Hypertube hub is looking very cool, BUT Hyper tubes pointing at the ground can kill you if you exit them at high velocity. Might want to keep that in mind.

Infinite nudge mod, has a bunch of creative ways for building, that don't affect the vanilla game that much, with your unique building style, and my benefit you immensely.

I can not second Infinite Nudge more. It's honestly the only mod I even care about. Vertical nudge and being able to rotate things while in hologram mode is a game changer.

Really dope build so far and I‘m enjoying all the functionalities, like the portal or hypertube room. One thing I wonder though, are the massive amounts of signs not influencing your FPS on the long run? Cuz I really like the church windows 😏

so before you get into trains ( and before i start on them myself ), do you keep them on the world grid so you can fit them to factories, or go free form and build factories off the train lines? i was thinking about doing a main station then running trains to where they need to go so i can do curved foundations and running factories from the train grid. i tried doing curves before and they didnt match up with the word grid then got annoyed and started again lol

I've been using client side only mods that don't modify the save file. Infinite nudge is great, let's me nudge up and down and rotate on x,y and z. Really helps with builds. I mentioned before about making slacked chains and they're a lot easier now with the mod.

yeah i grabbed the infinite nudge, might try me some slack chains when i do decoration on this build actually but depends on how crazy the place looks.

@DrawingXaos just make a blueprint for each link and rotate them. Might also use scaling, an option that is not available client side only so I can't use it but you could, assuming your not on a dedicated server. Might be too much for some people as in too far from vanilla, idk.

@DrawingXaos oh yeah definitely could move the blueprint up and down easily with a pillar or railing peice, just tried it. Would have to make each link and angle but can be done.

I saw a comment from Coffee Stains which stated the white build outlines are now settable. Off by default. I’ve not checked yet myself.

i think the only mods i can think of is either getting the unlimited conveyor length so you can just start it and then run at the other end of the straight and connect there instead of repeating it like every 4 foundations.... or potentially the mod that allows you to upgrade the entire length of a conveyor so you dont have to run and upgrade every single piece of spend hours wondering what is wrong with a factory to only notice you didn't upgrade 1 belt somewhere... another mod that probably is not that big of a deal atm but would have been nice probably is the instant harddrive research so the MAM doesnt take 10 minutes per hard drive and you can actually just instantly get whatever they hold instead of 2 hours of 10 min researches gross is a dozen dozens in other words 144 the hyber tube cannon looks nice but for some reason i feel like it could have looked better with frame pillars surrounding the barrel part the elevator sitting so theres some water around it made me think of the slightly flooded method of building beneath the waterline (so you can still walk there just fine) and i kinda wish to see you use it at some point to make a horror game style build since you said your Chain Lightning with lumen on looked like one... so the flooded floor would add to that aesthetic the spiral pipes at the side of your stairs bother me with the clipping and the fact that the pipes dont go all the way up or down..... also probably would have removed the wall attachments from pipes since they do still connect even if you remove them it just removes the rims going all the way up.... also i was sad that we didnt get the name of the bar yet ....

man a nice convoy mod would be good, there are so many belts to place. that's what they said about gross, i always thought with lumen that this game could easily be a horror game with the right set of mods. aaahhhh, i think i can fix the pipes for this one. AND OMG I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THE BARRRRRR. lol.
