Too hard a work it's to uphold the core heart content of Bengalee,as witnessed by Guruji into Hindi or any else literature. Still the effort made to visualise the contents of Tagore's heart is really praiseworthy. But certain linguistic hues in the stories provide them multidirectional ways,i.e, "byanjona",which is quite difficult rather impossible to convert into visual art from literature. Thus in a overall view of the whole series, the soul of the literature by Guruji is maintained here.There lies the success of the Director.

Currently watching this on Netflix and I can't get over it. It's so beautiful to just see that all of these stories are way ahead of their time. And a woman's perspective is uplifted in all these stories in a time where the rest of the country had backward thinking. There are moments while I'm watching the stories and so strongly connect with the characters. The show has turned out beautifully and it just makes me wish for that era again, where love was so pure, no phones, everything was Raw. Beautiful work!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Very very impressed by the stories and the presentation. In love with the richness of Bengal culture, literature, Tagore and Anurag. This series is more than enough to close the mouth of those who mock at Bengalis. Definitely Kolkata was India's cultural capital in all sense. Lots of love from Kerala. Bengali culture is just incomparable. I enjoy many many nights when after dinner my wife plays a beautiful Tagore song on her piano and some times my brother in law comes and joins her in the show. That sound of a 150 years old Cremer's piano in Tagore's tune feel the entire air with romance and the most beautiful thing is to see how her fingers run on those reeds!!! I feel complex that I am nothing infront of my Bengali wife but we are bound eternally by Tagore the magician❤❤❤❤!!!

I watched them several times and yet there is always something new to take away every single time ....all the actors have done justice to the characters. Bhanu Uday in both episodes has out done it. No wonder he could re create the same magic playing legendary Ashok Kumar in Manto.

Please release this on DVD. I subscribed to Netflix only for this and in 1 month watched the whole series twice ...! Its so good ... I was so surprised that TV show can be so good ! This show should be getting all the awards !! All Bengali characters Are so beautiful ... there is so much variety in all stories ... I just loved everything about it !! Its a must watch for everybody !

I think words are not enough to explain the feeling I got after watching the whole series in a single sit. Anurag basu nailed in his direction and most importantly the presenting of the context is really far behind my explanation. This made me fall in love with the culture of Bengal once again. One of the best show I have ever seen on indian television I saw this show this year only and all of its songs are pure love❤️❤️❤️ Great work by all actors and hatts off to the director and also his whole team whether costumes, jewellery, dialogues, screen writing everyone has given their best in this series..... Kabulwala my fav story from the school time . I watched this show for only that episode and I was spellbound by each and every story . Kabulwala made me feel disappointed, longing for some more and keep on wandering in my thoughts till now about the next chapter what could have happened . I didn’t expect to fall in another world with every story , so relatable and at the same time so disconnected from the way we thought we live in the world , soft and harsh at the same time

I watched some of the stories when they were streaming on Netflix with English subtitles. My favorite was the servant who thought that the deceased son of his master had been reincarnated and returned to him. He raised the boy, sent him to school, and the boy became very stuck up. The servant pretended that the boy was his master's son and returned him.....but the boy was the servant's own child. Unfortunately, they are not playing on Netflix and I do not know how to find copies that I can own. Such beautiful stories!
