@@johndillinger8482 that's not why he was necessarily killed off. he's a writer and actor for Mayor of Kingstown, and he's on alot of shows that Taylor Sheridan Directs. His character getting killed on Yellowstone just adds to the drama of how things happen, when you least expect it. I'm still bummed he got killed.

Love stories it adds a great dimension to the series. My take on the shootout in the restaurant. I have to wonder though if JD and Rip had not gone in to the restaurant guns blazing probably no-one would have died. The bad guys were only robbing the place then they would have left.

Sounds more like a set-up, not robbery. Who all knew John and Rip were going to the diner? Make it look like a robbery gone bad and shoot them.

@@lynnbetts4332 Yes, you're exactly right. There have already been clues in the show, where they quietly drop that clue. Rip and John conjecture together: "Who knew we were going to that diner today?". Which also means, even though it could be a valid insight, that if they hadn't went in to "rescue" the people, that everyone would most likely have survived. I didn't get that vibe, at all though. The way the sheriff was sitting there frozen like a manikin, almost gives the impression that he might already have been shot. I've watched the scene a few times w/ that all in mind and it's still left ambiguous. If we know Taylor Sheridan's masterful, nuanced writing, then he wants to leave it open. Whichever is true on shot already, or after they come in, there's an amazing dance that people that have known each other their whole lives are doing. Rip and John are seamless in assimulating all the clues at a glance and then knowing just how to each play their parts to deal. The fixer and the boss have that all down to a science that's also lazer intuitive. I also think the sheriff knew exactly how to throw off the right vibe to alert them too. He knew the calvary was on its way. One helluva an amazing scene. This bunkhouse coverage barely scratched the surface on that one.

I love Jimmy, but guys this is Yellowstone. Why is Jefferson White playing such a significant role in breaking down what’s going on over at Yellowstone? Is Yellowstone going to be replaced by 6666? If not do a seperate breakdown for 6666. The mixed messaging is problematic.

@@SamSolasdonSaol The problem is Yellowstone fans don’t appreciate precious screen time given over to promoting a spin off. Precious screen time is taken away from Yellowstone to promote 666 & 1863. It’s distracting & steals time from Yellowstone’s main story line. The fight to save Yellowstone. I want Jimmy back at Yellowstone, but returning like a prodigal son. A hero without all the detail would hold more power. C’mon these are cowboys. Ask yourself; would John Wayne be explaining his feelings in the shower on KZbin 🤣😂

For one - it's priming for the 6666 spinoff. For another - Jimmy is the character that mirrors the audience - when we first met him, he was one bad turn from going to prison for a long time, or blowing up in a meth lab explosion. He got the job at Yellowstone despite not being qualified for it, and not exactly willing - it was like "bam, this is your life now, keep up". Now we get to see him grow and finally get the hang of it - he's going from passenger, to driver, and it's a transformation I am thrilled to watch. Not everything ties back into the main plot, and not everything needs to.

Please stop with the show horse nonsense. Please stop trying to make Jimmy a sex symbol. Stop with the product placement (Tito's 3 times per episode?!?). Stop with the prequels. Just go back to making Yellowstone and the characters the focus. You're just dropping in Mo and the Chief for tiny little asides. Stop it. Producers should go watch season 1 to see what made the series a hit and must-see TV. This season is the biggest pile of garbage. Also, Teeter in the bunkhouse is fine. Get rid of any other girls, especially Laramie. There is no reason for her to be there. Make sure Mia stays gone.

Well alot of horse people watch this show. And the creator of this series shows horses . Plus alot of cattle ranches have champion cutting horses. It's part of the business .
