The first phase of UNU-WIDER's Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) programme helped improve tax systems and to strengthen domestic capacities for revenue collection in Global South countries through seven different projects in 2020-2023. What was achieved? This Stories of Change video series shows the transformations these research and capacity development initiatives have been able to catalyse.
In this video CEO Kathryn McPhail and President Etienne Romsom (EnergyCC) explain why cutting methane emissions is critical and how their research with UNU-WIDER has helped to expose the magnitude of the problem and develop tools to solve it, while increasing domestic revenue.
