Good presentation but sorry u missed out on history facts abt Delhi . Poorana qila has been built by Pandavas. Excavations by Archeology deptt ( as I saw in museum inside) show artefacts from ancient India too most probably Gupta period ( if I recollect right). Qutub minar was built by Prithvi raj chauhan. U didn’t mention abt preislamic Delhi .
@jashnhaizindagi Жыл бұрын
Thanks 🙏 there are different videos about pre-Sultanate era also.. you might like those. This tour was about Kotla Feroze Shah. Regarding Purana Qila ..the official information states that it is built at a location where Indraprastha is likely to have existed. The place has a huge mound under which the ancient relics have been found. Purana Qila wasn't built by Pandavas....rather it was built at the same place where Pandavas are likely to have built their capital city. If you chk our videos related to Old Fort, you'll find this info as well. There also are videos related to Asoka and tours mentioning about Qutub Complex history. Enjoy ☀️

Aditya sahab, could you please recommend me some books on delhi/ medieval history/ sultanates. I am just a beginner in this field, it would be great to start somewhere.
@jashnhaizindagi3 жыл бұрын
For history buffs I usually recommend the following video series - "Bharat Ek Khoj" on Doordarshan and "The Story of India - with Michael Woods" on BBC (available on DVD). I personally don't read much books...but for reference sometimes I do check some typically recommended UPSC type books e.g. "Medieval India - Part 1 and 2" by Satish Chandra. You can also check books by authors like Rana Safvi, William Dalrymple etc. for light reading. U can also check Amazon for other popular books that are recommended for UPSC preparation. These solve both purposes... entertainment as well as learning! Good luck ☀️
