If God gave me a choice to be able to sing like anyone in the world it would be Marty Robbin’s! He makes it sound so smooth and effortless. Of course I can’t sing at all.

I loved Marty Robbins. I saw him at Mockingbird Hill in Indiana when I was about 5 years old. I’m 68 now. My daddy looked a lot like Marty. So handsome and what a voice. You are missed. I still play your music.

The missing verse from the stereophonic version (the LP or album cut) and my favorite verse from "El Paso": "Just for a moment I stood there in silence shocked by the foul evil deed I had done Many thoughts raced through my mind as I stood there I had but one chance and that was to run".

This has to be about 20 years old. Many of the singers are gone, and Ronny is a lot more gray, and his hairline is a lot more receding now. Still good-looking, though
