I'm a lifelong U2 fan since seeing Joshua Tree Live in the 80's. Now in my 50's Morgan takes this song to an entirely different place. The depth of her voice, the pain, the hope the 'im too old for the bullshit' tone as she sings give the lyrics a whole new meaning, and the song a whole new soul. Thank you for showing an all time favorite song in a whole new light. Bless you.

I almost always love the Stories rendition of every song they cover, but DAMN this one is so incredibly good. The instruments are very restrained yet somehow intimate, and Morgan's voice just absolutely shines. Watching the faces of the performers as they so clearly respond to one another is just icing on the cake.

This was the first U2 song that really grabbed my attention, but I never imagined this performance. Two acoustic guitars and Morgan James capture all of the power, angst and emotion of this wonderful composition. The arrangement is fantastic and, as always with Stories, kudos to the mixer/sound engineer.

I wish Molly had been given more of a chance to shine on this track, maybe with a melodic counterpoint on guitar? But then that's the mark of a true musician: knowing when to simply serve the song with a solid rhythm. Meanwhile when Morgan sings "when you give yourself away," she's literally giving little bits of her spirit to us viewers. Love it!
