I have literally listened to hundreds of renditions of “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for”…. And now I have found it!! This is absolutely PERFECT!!! His strum on guitar is a lot harder than he makes it look. His voice, her voice, the lighting, the perfect blend, and then right into “Stand by me”?!?!?? Yeah….. These two have just about everything you could ask for… great voices, great guitar and the guitar was all that was needed so the music doesn’t hide the voices, I agree that her “still” was perfect, great “look”, all this was really all that was needed for a number one on the charts, but the way they are so laid back, the way they are smiling and connecting with each other, it’s like two halves of a whole, like they complete each other… it’s just magic, ya know , just magic!

years and years ago, decades now I guess, 1993 or so, I saw U2 in the Tacoma Dome and Bono messed up the timing to the last song of the encore so badly that everything came to a screeching halting shambolic stop and then there they all were standing there all lit up bright in an unexpected spot of silence and just when it was all becoming embarrassingly unbearable Adam Clayton started playing Stand By Me and they all fell in and finished up the concert with this classic of friendship and faith. true story.
