This Storm was shown to be very powerful. She was able to drop a building on Juggernaut, stop a tidal wave from destroying New York City and was even able to stop an entire planet’s climate from continuing to be a destructive swarm of multiple storms. Not bad if you ask me.

Powerful, masterful, tactical, the best on screen adaptation of Storm. This show was not afraid to have her dominate their opponents while the X-Men stayed back, and she'd still contribute when the fight couldn't end with her dominating (for plot purposes) instead of being written incompetent or faint. They never shied away from showing how versatile she is as well as how damn powerful and I greatly respect that. Oh and best of all they actually showed her *leading* the X-Men. The creators are confirmed to being in talks with Disney to revive the show as well, imagine an unapologetically powerful Storm of that time with current animation... that would be freaking awesome. Love Evolution but they made her a background character because they could write her to solve every problem, but again the 90s show proved to do that without dumbing her down or her stealing from the other X-Men. And WATX... well from what I remember she needed to be saved constantly. So yeah 90s is queen.

To anyone who says her speeches b4 or during using her powers makes sense, clearly don't understand her character. Storm is often characterized as a godess, a higher entity, a witch, it makes sense that like those entity's she would commentate what she's doing. A witch typically chants to help Channel their power. Storm herself comes from a long ancestors of witches who themselves were on par with the soccer Supreme. Storms powers work kinda weird, they are tied to her emotions, and uses her own skill, and influences of her magic ancestry to help control her powers; she is extremely powerful and capable to destroying large regions of land, and manipulating the earth environment as a whole. Storm doesn't create weather out of thin air, the weather is an extention of herself in a way and why flying comes so natural to her as well as her physic connection with nature itself, able to sense dying trees, when her plants need water, she uses her powers with a lot of skill as she has to anticipate multiple different factors that may hurt of help her intentions, the weather of the area surrounding her, take to much moisture from an already dry region with obvious lasting effects on the environment around her. In theory storm, if a villain or simply didn't have the morality storm typically has, she would create the most long lasting effects harming the earth, which only she herself could undo, typically. That's also another reason why she's often compared to a witch, her powers aren't as simple as the other x men, which isn't a bad thing just means she puts more thought into everything, she's constantly working in a way, which is really a testament to her character as a strong and calm person, regardless of having to keep herself in check 24/7.

Still to this day. When Sauron releases Storm with his hypnotism eyes. She lights up in a wicked laugh declaring "I ... AM ... FREE" Sauron is not controlling her mind, he's released her control over her own mind. It literally send chills up my spine watching that scene 😱 simply amazing animation, dialogue, sound effects. I can't really believe how much they've weaken her in the movies and that anime series (Not this one). Multiple times over the years Storm has been called a "sculptress". This is one of many ways to describe her absolute mastery and dominion over the forces and elements that govern weather. In the blink of an eye, Storm can alter her perception to perceive the elements of nature, including the planet's magnetic and electromagnetic field, and the ozone layer, as patterns of force and energy. She becomes one with these forces and can mold them to her will for a variety of effects. These atmospheric forces include (but are not limited to) air, moisture, temperature, pressure, and electrical energy. Through molding these forces Storm can manifest any meteorological tempest, weather effect, and other atmospheric phenomena with a thought. This also includes control over ocean currents. She has summoned powerful blizzards, thunderstorms, monsoons, tornadoes, hail, and hurricanes, as well as disbursed natural storms to create clear weather. Her range has been shown to be planetary but she can also localize the weather effects to a specific area or target, even refined enough control to manipulating air and electrical forces inside a target’s body. Storm has also shown that she can channel these elemental forces through her own body, allowing her to project weather-effects in a beam-like path from her hands, such as lightning, wind, thermal energy, and moisture. Her control over air also gives her the power of flight. Due to her powers being tied to her emotions and because she is completely in-tune with the environment, she must keep a tight rein on her emotions to avoid them influencing the surrounding weather. Being acutely attuned with the biosphere of the planet Storm can sense various changes within the atmosphere and earth, including unnatural shifts in the air, movement within the earth, changes in the earth's electromagnetic field, or shifts within the water's currents. She has sensed objects as small as a snowball being tossed her way or the Blackbird cutting across the atmosphere from thousands of miles away. Storm's ability to manipulate the weather is currently only surpassed by the Asgardian god of thunder Thor.
