Outstanding Eddie FairPlay for braving the conditions but boy were you rewarded?
@eddieforde2 ай бұрын
It was pretty awesome alright Darren. I couldn't get over the amount of people at the beach just experiencing the wind. No one was doing anything stupid as you'd often see in this type of weather, instead everyone was just enjoying being blasted by the wind.. 🌬️, I finally got some nice footage of the waves breaking over the headland too,, happy with that. 😁

Watching it on the big screen via the Firestick is just glorious! Thanks so much Eddie!☘️👍..I’m a real weather geek and there is nothing better than those giant coastal crashing waves. Hello to my home turf of Cork and Kerry! ☘️🙏☘️🙏

thanks Elizabeth, its definitely one for the big screen alright. tbh, once I'm done editing them, I only ever watch them back on the tv. With any luck we might get a few more storms over the winter (that don't do much damage )and that have great waves 🌊 🤞🏻

Well worth your efforts Eddie, some great still shots from it as well, in very difficult conditions. Never seen so much flume, almost like a snow scene.! Respect to the mighty ocean too.

thanks Robert, yea, the foam was something else, earlier in the day over at Coumeenole it was like soup, and obviously as in the video , during peak storm at Clogher, I was thinking of snow also, like you say.. cool to see it all the same . 👍

To call it wild just doesn’t cut it. I have fond memories of that coastline from my years living there (‘79-‘83). Incredible part of the world. Thanks for sharing, Ed.

Stunning images and a glimpse of the sound. Is there a version without the - well crafted - music? With huge respect to the musician and editor these gorgeous would be great to experience with the actual sound.

Thanks Cormac👍 No other version, what made it great to look at made it impossible to capture usable audio , wind 🌬️

hi Pia, i finally got there in a good storm to capture the waves coming over the headland, as you're aware, it's been on the list a long time ✔😁 i did not meet him, nor do i know him, but i see him posting shots of Kinard earlier in the week..

You might think that the sea is company, Exploding comfortably down on the cliffs But no: when it begins, the flung spray hits The very windows, spits like a tame cat Turned savage. We just sit tight while wind dives And strafes invisibly. Space is a salvo, We are bombarded with the empty air. Strange, it is a huge nothing that we fear. "Storm on the Island", Seamus Heaney
