Nice that your wife joined you. Kind of lousy weather and lightning is scary but overall its better to be on the boat. Hi Capt... Your videos get better and better, always something new and interesting! Your friends in the big center-console were getting wet! I wonder if their next boat will have a pilothouse like yours! Even Jimmy Buffet's (the singer) most recent boat has a pilothouse; a custom-built 42' Freeman! When his long-time captain was asked what was his favorite thing about their new super-expensive boat, his answer was 'The Pilothouse!'...to stay dry, and not have wind and water in his face all the time. I agree! ☺

I been watching your vids since the 19' yamaha days glad your vids are popping back up and haven't seen you in a while , you don't talk or show us dog lovers much about your beautiful Sheltie dog, what's her name and where does she do her business while out boating? I've owned 4 Shelties since the late 70's and this past July 30th I had to say good by to my girl Maggie due to bladder cancer. Stay safe out there, I wish I was back in FL!

I would recommend to use cattle fish for fishing its very effective bait . and one more take my advice any time you catch shark or cat fish change your place and try to find rocky bottom where you will find snapper or grouper and other bottom feeders good luck and please seek shelter when its lighting god bless you all and stay safe

A bonnet heads eyes are set in on its head. A hammer heads eyes are out on the ends. Easy way to remember. A small bonnet head under 36” makes great fish nuggets.

Hey Skip, glad your back on the water. I think you should look into using a snubber for your anchor. It'll help save your windless. Takes all the pressure off the windless and put it straight to your now cleats. That's ok be of the reasons why there positioned there! 👍 Good luck. Talk to ya soon. Be well! We were just on that sandbar 2 weekends ago and we were on it along with many others. Everyone was social distancing and there were 3 sheriff boats just making sure you’re not too close to other boats but they didn’t care about anyone being on the sandbar

That shark you caught is a type of Hammerhead shark called Bonnethead. They are the smallest members of the Hammerhead family and they sometime eat sea grass.

I kept the Westinghouse because it has more wattage the Yamaha was 1800 watts and the Westinghouse is 2000 Watts so has more capacity in a bigger fuel tank

Did you even consider the 2320 when you were considering this boat? Other than the transoms and a bit more cockpit length, are they identical? Same cabin and room inside?

Yes i did but the price was alot more and the boat weighed a lot more and could not tow it with my van.

@@OutOnTheReef before I fell in love with these pilothouse boats, we were looking at pocket cruisers, like a 260 Sundancer. Honestly the Sea Ray or similar boat would suit our needs better, but I just love the utilitarian aspect of these pilothouse boats. They seem like they’d be easier to clean up and maintain. I would sacrifice a couple more feet of cockpit space for an enclosed wet head/shower and a galley instead of those jump seats. That would keep the wife happy and would probably be the only way I could sell her on a Parker. I’ve got a couple or more years to figure it all out though. Meanwhile, gonna keep tagging along with you.

I noticed that you had some rain leakage around the small flip windows above the V-berth. I have very similar looking ones on the sides of my cabin and I stopped the leaking by removing the screens and storing them elsewhere until I need them. The screen keeps the rubber seal from making good contact with the glass. As for your big windows, I'm not sure what you can do. But, I bet you will figure it out.

I took the screens off a long time ago and they leak because there's a channel in the window that water goes in there and it spilled over there's nothing you can do about it just got to live with it

My boat is 21 ft the only thing you have to look at is good weather going and coming and that your boat and Equipment are in top shape

Public beach is closed, not sandbars. I live in the Florida keys and we can still go to the sandbars

I usually don't recommend it to anybody because every time I think about it I think about my crooked pilothouse and I don't want nobody else to go through this so I do not recommend it because of my manufacture defect, sorry cap.
