It's a little early yet, Wild Streak is only a few months old, but I would expect a Wild Streak Hybrid first, we haven't had a hybrid in the HP3 line since the Danger, and we still haven't gotten a hybrid Idol. But yes, I'd like all kinds of different Streaks.

Would you say a wild streak would overlap with a p2? Both look great having a hard time choosing bewteen an idol pro, P2 or wild streak to be my go to

Trying to build an arsenal for leagues but keep getting lost and thinking I’m missing something. Speed/rev match, 17-18mph at the pins. Currently throwing a UFO on fresh then need some in between balls to get down to my flawless. What’s your opinion on UFO > Nuclear cell > phaze2/pro-motion > flawless. Am I missing anything?

Really tough decision, but if you watch a lot of the PBA, Belmo trends more towards stuff that gets down the lane easier, so he's been going Wild Streak a lot lately.

@@LukeRosdahl Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking. Could always do a Wild Streak & Axiom solid arsenal vs just hope the Phaze 2 covers all the needs. Surface surface surface for what you need on a given day which isnt as simple as an arsenal with more polished pieces.

When you are bowling on a sport shot you haven’t bowled on before and you are looking at the data sheet for it What do you look at try to to determine the line you are going to try to play?

I don't ever determine a line from the sheet, it might give me an idea what balls I'm going to use, but the lane surface is going to determine more than the oil pattern. I tend to not put much stock in pattern graphs any more, lane surface is a much bigger deal in my opinion.

Hey Luke, what is your opinion on short pin layouts? I'm lefty as well, 17 mph and 450 revs. I know down and in is our "bread and butter" but I'm always leaving 7s with that line.I throw a hy-road nano, pro motion and a hustle ink. Looking for something to take to nationals.

Pro Motion basically is a short pin ball lol. Anything with a rounder shape, so IQ Tour, Hustle Ink, Idol Pro, etc., would be good for a short pin layout. I'm a fan, I've only done a couple like that, but they give you a more resin shape in a situation where you'd otherwise have to use urethane.

So what does that make your arsenal now? Lefty anway since the difference in lane play is seen rather well in this video compared to others. Can you make an arsenal with whag you have drilled lefty now for something like nationals or would you still be at the drawing board for now??

So far I have an Axiom, Idol, Idol Pro, Wild Streak, IQ Tour Solid, Hyroad Pearl, and a Team Storm poly. Next week I'm drilling an Idol Pearl and Hyroad X, then I'll likely have a Phaze 3 coming at some point. Past that I can't think of a ton of NEED anywhere else. The left side is rather simple in theory, wherever I go on a house shot, Hyroads, IQTS, and Pro Motion are going to be the choice the majority of the time, and before I get some urethane and get some serious practice in, I won't be bowling lefty on anything tough any time soon

I'm struggling as a newer bowler to find a ball I can build around. I'm high speed and low revs on mostly beat house patterns. Just need a safe ball to learn on and was thinking Idol pearl. Does that sound right or do you recommend something else?

On shorter patterns you want bowling balls which control the back part of the lane, which is why urethane is so popular. It revs early and then fades and blends downlane. From your arsenal, the IQ tour would probably be best. Balls like the timesless, hyroad pearl, crux pearl would most likely be too much downlane. It also depends on how you throw the ball, the topography of the lane, etc. So a blind recomendation should be taken with a grain of salt.

It all depends on the ball reaction, a whole lot of the questions you ask depend more on your personal game and experience, there's not a lot of hard and fast rules or definitive answers when it comes to bowling.

Nah, they're miles apart. I typically just compare bowling balls that are similar or that appear somewhat similar to identify the differences to help people that are having trouble choosing between balls figure out which one would be best. The Axiom and Astro are obviously pretty different, they could be compliments, but anyone looking for a certain ball motion isn't going to be having any trouble choosing between those two.
