I've seen the "Thor vs Storm" question a lot on the internet, to me it boils down to Thor's being far more durable. Both have amazing control over the weather, storm arguably more so given recent comics. But Thor has feats like the Godblast she can't really defend against and like many X-men, Ororo is a glass cannon, she's just human levels of durability while thor can shake off being hit by a missile or such.

@IStevenSeagal I'd question how old that hierarchy list is. Recent comics have made Storm out to be MUCH stronger than she used to be (Omega class and able to influence Solar weather).

Thor's power level and various abilities also boils down to him almost always holding back. Heck, some writers even admit to basically nerfing Thor and not letting him use a lot of his powers for the sake of the story. The few times Thor actually taps into his full power, he's straight up contending with skyfathers like Odin or Zeus. In one of the more recent comics, despite not having the Odinforce, his own power let Thor utterly stomp MYTHOS, who had complete control over the power of Yggdrasil. If Thor wasn't such a merciful and benevolent fella, 97% of the enemies he has faced wouldn't live through their first encounter

And this right here is why the whole "Everyone is scared of mutants" argument falls apart. One good sharpshooter and no more Storm. You could throw an armored division at Thor and he'd brush it off. I'd defiantly be more scared of that guy.

@@jreese2474 Idk the mutants have characters like Legion and The Marquis of death, thors powerful but the mutants have a much bigger list of OP characters than the rest of the marvel universe.

I actually loved this. Storm isn't a match for even Clor but with Sue backing her that's a nasty combo. Glass cannon plus tank is always awesome. That ending with herc was funnier than I thought it would be. This is actually when I quit seriously reading Marvel. Reed Richard's behavior in civil war was so outrageous it broke the believability of the stories for me. It wasn't the only thing but his betrayal of his family was a line he wouldn't cross. When the characters stop behaving how they have for decades I just had to bail.

@@A-ROD-oe8wl wouldn't really matter. Storm has basic human durability. She can die from sneezing too hard. That's a massive vulnerability in a fight with gods.

These are the best parts fo Civil War for me. They fought a villain and not other heroes. Also, I think Storm could have won without help but she could have been injured and I don't like when Ororo or Susan getting hurt. That's the Hercules we need, helping 2 beautiful women and (in Civil War #7) doing the justice we all wanted to see, best page of all the series!

@@UnlimitedIvoryyeah, You can't blame the avengers for that one. Tony and Reed decided to play god all on their own. I wonder of thor ever got a chance to confront Mr Fantastic about that, but With tony being his friend it was especially personal.

@GreaterGrievobeast55 I mean Reed at least showed remorse and even stopped working with Tony when he sent out Ragnork because he said it wasn't ready, but Tony wouldn't listen. Plus, as you said, Tony and Thor are closer, so it was more personal.

I've once had a Dream that would make a Great Marvel Comic/MCU Story This Story is about Thor saving his Friend/Lover Sif from the One Below All. The Avengers are Supporting Thor, But they all got Killed by the One Below All leaving Thor alone, when all Hope seems lost he got teleported by the Celestials into a Nightclub in Los Angeles that was surrounded by The Olympian Gods, Egyptian Gods, C.I.A, F.B.I, Police and Angels, Thor meets Jack Kirby and reveals himself as The Fulcrum, All the Celestials kneel before him. Thor ask him to Help saving his Friend/Lover Sif, Fulcrum gradly helps him. Thor merged with Fulcrum becoming an Omnipotent Being, he confrots The One Below All and defeats him saving Sif and brought the Avengers back to life.

There is actually an alternate Storm that picks up Mjolnir and becomes the new goddess of thunder. She was certainly cooler than Jane Foster.

Ororo was written horribly in this story. Like she was a teen. Same with Sue they seemed to be trying to make a joke of two of the most powerful beings on earth.
