My favorite character from back then was Dhalsim. I liked his stretchy powers for a fighting game and thought he had a cool look to him. Pretty excited for Jada’s version of him, think it’s about time Storm put him out too.

I was probably the rare few who had Balrog (aka Mike Tyson) as my main in Street Fighter. Love using this guy. And this figure is the best figure of Balrog I have ever seen.

I really like this figure. There’s so much character in these headsculpts and the paint is top notch. Balrog isn’t even in my top ten street fighters (he’s not even my favourite sf2 baddie) but this is such a nice piece. The same is true of the ultra sf2 Zangief. I feel like where Storm have gone wrong is not giving us a real nice set of the classic core characters up front. If I had real nice Ryu, Ken and Chun Li in their signature looks, I’d want to fork over the money to build out my collection with those characters as the foundation. If I had those, or knew they were coming, I’d have no problem putting down the cash on say, this lovely Balrog or whoever because they’d look great posed getting slapped about by the franchise heroes. They’ve only done one Chun Li, you can’t get her anymore and even if you could, she’s not in the same style as this balrog. In closing, love this guy. Would really like Ryu and Ken please (the ones with rubbish legs don’t count).

Street fighter is my favorite fighting game of all time, even if I can't play the latest game due to...not having the right console. Unfortunately I missed a lot of figures by Storm that cost way too much now. I'm filling the gaps with some statues that happen to be in scale but it's not ideal. Well...at least the Cammy statue I have is far better than the Cammy Storm figure that I don't like. But now I'll try to get the new interesting figures along with some KOF figures. I preordered Juri. And now I'm hoping for Blanka, Fei Long, Dhalsim and Vega. They are my favorite characters with Akuma, Juri, Cammy and Chun-Li.

I've been training Muay Thai for a little bit and at the gym I go to we just use standard boxing gloves and they're almost always a shiny to satin finish so I do think the figure would have probably looked better if they gave the gloves a different finish. Especially since in the game Balrog has really old school type gloves which were super glossy and almost looked like maraschino cherries.

I like Storm's figures, I remember being really concerned the softer materials wouldn't age well but so far so good. Great sculpts, feel good in the hand, plenty of accessories, really no negatives, and they do all the variant colors, but they really dont go with anything else I have. I treat them like a Diamond Select where I'll grab the figures that I can fudge scale or want to be exaggerated and imposing. Gief is probably the best for Storm SF but even then its bigger than Hulk. As someone that really started with wanting a MvC collection, they look great, just not with Marvel Legends. Ryu is functionally 8 feet tall and 600lbs. Probably why Jada will end up getting my money. If not Akuma, Blanka was my SF2 character of choice.

Storm Collectibles makes all the characters I would want as action figures. They just do in a scale that is too big for me. I'm a fan of the animated Street Fighter II movie. If they release this figure with a darker blue, and skin, that would be rad.

i've gotta say. .. as much as i appreciate having extra interchangeable accessories, i find the process nerve-wracking. It always feels like it should not be happening and i sure to break something. 😅 Anyway, my go-to character to fight with back in the day was Chun-Li. Second runner-up was E. Honda.

I never liked him in the games, seemed like a boring design compared to the rest of the lineup but man this figure has been on my desk for a month now as it just looks great. Would have liked to see the torn shirt/glove like you said but also a semi open glove so you could do a "come get some" sort of pose.

Original arcade, I main'd Chun Li and Ken. Pleased many versions of those characters have been made over the years. Storm Collectibles seems to mimic the Udon comics aesthetic (which mimicked the animated movie), so with that context, this Balrog doesn't seem, _"too chunky"_ as you/AC puts it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ With as much advocacy you've had for Sota, I'm surprised your comparisons don't include any of them with these reviews.

Removing limbs from a storm figure is terrifying. I always let the figure warm on the sun for 10 minutes before even trying 😬

Don't bother. They only makes the soft parts softer. It won't do anything for the skeleton which basically doesn't react to heat anyway

The og mk ninjas release were the worst, I just got a new in box noob saibot a few days ago, and his arm socket broke as soon as I moved his arm, luckily I fixed it with plastic adhesive glue.

This figure looks amazing but by not being 1/12 and now jada are making 1/12 scale figs I have no reason to buy this. If storm were actually 1/12 I would have so many. My favorite character is probably blanka his design is super fun then akuma (if he counts)
