Imagine my shocked surprise when I realised that the storm had blown off my roof. Also Peggy gets up to lots of mischief.

Oh bless you, what a lot to put up with. I must say, you seem to be coping with it all very well. I hate dealing with insurance claims or anything to do with chat bots online, and if you phone up a foreign call centre you can't understand what they're saying. Why does everything have to be so complicated these days. So glad no one was hurt! Peggy looks like a proper mischievous pup! She made me laugh with the garden lights. 😂

Really sorry to hear this. I'm shocked about your dorma but I'm more shocked you said you are 75 jeez you don't look it. We had a couple of problems with that storm, I repaired one which was to put the lid back on the burn bin. My son repaired the other, our neighbours fence one of the panels anyway had blown down onto our greenhouse,it didn't break anything thank goodness, my neighbour is an old widowed lady I think she is 89. Hence why my son repaired the fence, he bought the materials too,it cost him £90 and he managed to make 3 panels he said next month he will do the other 3. It's the first time he's made anything to do with a fence he surprised me and himself it looks really professional. Xx

I’m so sorry to hear about your roof and hope you get it sorted out soon. Insurance companies are a nightmare and I used to work for one so I know how annoying they can be. I’m so glad you’re safe though that’s the main thing. The storm was terrible, I live in Ayrshire and we had it really bad too but luckily we had no damage but lots of houses near me have had part of their roofs off. Peggy is just gorgeous 🥰even though she’s been a rascal, you just can’t stay angry at such a gorgeous doggie 🐶. Have a lovely day ❤💕💕

Insurance, call centres , not being able to talk to a real person and waiting ages to get through on the phone ! Exhausting and getting nowhere and so time consuming !! Oh Tina, how awful. I don't know how I'd cope in that situation. So fortunate nobody was hurt. It's a nightmare trying to talk to somebody on the phone you can understand. I'm having issues with my energy company and I can't get them to resolve it. I've asked to speak to somebody in this country but to no avail. Sorry to hear about your roof. Insurance companies are a complete pain. I’m in Scotland and we also had the 100+mph winds. A very large tree was ripped up at the back of my flat. Luckily nobody was hurt and it didn’t damage anything else. The tree partially blocked my view of the River Clyde so I now have a far more panoramic view of the river so that’s something positive. Naughty Peggy!

So sorry that happened to you. We had the same problem a few years ago, a whole flat roof extension rolled off during a storm, and water was pouring through the ceiling at 2am in the dark 😮 we saved what furniture we could and put buckets down. Absolute nightmare and the insurance company was completely useless, they tried to tell us a flat roof wasn't covered in the policy but it was written down and covered. Getting it fixed was another story. If it happens again I would definitely recommend getting your own roofer, trust no-one !!!! We changed our insurers too, pay a bit more but worth it. Hope it's sorted soon for you.

Morning Tina, thank goodness everyone was safe, but what a nightmare. These things always come when we seem to be most vulnerable, and have so many other problems to sort out already. It will seem like a nightmare, and make you ask yourself- why me? I do hope you can get some positive result very soon without too much trouble. The true value of a good insurance company is how they react and deal with a claim. Most unfortunately do their best to get out of paying, and closely examine the policy wording for an an escape! Please don’t stress about getting a KZbin stream out. Getting your life back to normal is the most important thing. If you do have some time, probably keep filming material with a clear commentary and you could make a video that would help other people, and maybe show the level of service you got from your company. So sorry about all the wind damage, hope you soon get sorted. Thank goodness Peggy didn't chew through a live wire, she would die. You have to watch pups like a hawk and pup proof the house and areas they go, mine is 9 yrs old this week and I never leave her alone in the garden or home to roam. 😮 Insurance companies are awful, I rang mine up back in the 90's just to enquire about something, I never claimed a penny, but they wrote to say they were doubling the cost of my insurance. So I cancelled it and got a cheaper quote. I've never claimed ever and my annual price is still low even now. It's there for anything that may be needed down to fire or theft. Try to find another company once this claim is done with.

Oh Tina - what a nightmare! I too hate the process of having to sort out “things” on the telephone. I get fed up of struggling to understand someone with a foreign accent. Probably be put against a wall and shot for saying that! I know they maybe have trouble with our local accents too but when you are distressed in the first place, struggling to have a conversation does not help! Aww Tina sorry about your roof damage, you’re not having much luck at the moment, but hopefully you’ve had your share now.. Peggy is so sweet, but once they start chewing you have to remember to put everything out of the way, ours used to chew our shoes, can’t remember how many pairs she chewed the backs off.
