@Ronald Brandt - it's not about getting close to real deal. It's about how you do it in your way and in your style. Jill was just copying Amy Lee, Storm wasn't. Audience chose this song for her knowing that she has a deeper voice to test her. She rearranged the whole song and killed it. I think Amy Lee herself probably was thinking, "How come I didn't come up with something like that?"

I thought Toby complimented her very well and did a heck of a job in highlighting her voice. In a competition, that means you steal a little thunder, and I think Storm is smart enough to know that it helps Toby out, but she felt it was enough to help herself out, but it definitely upped his "points" for sure.

The backing band is more famous than one else who appeared on this! LOL Storm is a wonderful singer. Women's voices mature very late and that is one reason her performance on AGT was so strong. She has clearly taken great care of it. Best thing ever was to NOT win this gig!!! The "band" they were auditioning for was a total joke!

Storm killed it. Looking back, you realize they already knew who they wanted and the reality show element was just for show. As a result, they had to bring people down from time to time because they "winner" couldn't be someone they didn't want for the band. That is 100% what happened after this performance.

I agree. It wasn't my fave but that is because Storm is an alto and Bring me to Life is a song for a soprano. Not her fault she had to sing the song didn't have a choice and she did her thing with it and that takes guts. That's a really high song to sing if you are an alto.

But because he was a session guitarist doesn’t change the fact that he was part of one a biggest act of the early 90’s. I’m not saying he’s a great guitarist but still, he got a gig thousands of guitarists didn’t get. So yeah, he did stuff more noteworthy than this cover by miss Large. By the way, that specific cover by Storm Large was not that good, she’s way better now that she was back then.

I read that Storm Large inferred that she was basically brought in as filler and wasn't going to win. It was obvious to me early on that Tommy Lee was making the calls and had already picked that non-talent Lucas as the winner. After Storm's final performance at the end of the season, I seriously doubt those were crocodile tears Jason Newsted were making. I think both he and Gilby Clarke thought Storm was the best.
