The two just built bungalows opposite mine both lost their tiled roofs during the night, I was lucky, mine built 1923 lost one roof tile..On the way to work at Newhaven the bushes by the Golf Course were all draped in the yellow insulation material from wrecked caravans up on Rushey Hill..

I was driving into Peacehaven at about 5am that morning when I was overtaken by a bus shelter.

Peacehaven may have been a region that experienced the strongest winds from this storm, as it is on a clifftop, which enhances the wind speed blowing onshore.

I lost the side of my house in this storm in fact there is a picture of it with my ex husband standing looking out, I was 7 months pregnant and the shock made me go into hospital for the residue of my pregnancy my son Daniel is now 25 and born on 27th November, it took four months to rebuild my house and the insurance company paid out saying a tornado had hit my house!!!!!!

My step parents lost a mobile home at rushy hill caravan site' luckily it was vacant the wind had always been a problem on that area of coast line.

I was in Brighton coming back from a club with my friends , as soon as we got out we all said gosh its a bit windy tonight lol, anyway we walked up station road to 7dials area.. i say we walked , we didnt we were carried up the hilly road ..we saw debris being thrown about etc . the next mornng saw trees uprooted and the damage and thought MY GOSH...
