I used to work at a factory next to the Heald Green crossroads, which is less than a mile from touchdown. Waiting at the crossroads you're directly in line with the approach, I can clearly remember the planes in a queue, flying "sideways" in these sort of conditions. Completely mesmerising, and easy to miss that traffic lights had gone green!

That first Singapore landing attempt was wild, a replay of the flight path showed that its climb rate on the go-around was about 4000ft/min

The storm made the aircrafts look like paper planes. a380 Emirates was wobbly for that weight. Butter landings were Easyjet and Ryanair. Great videos. Keep it up Simon n Liz

I was on the easyjet that went around. We ended up at east midlands for 4 hours then returned to manchester for another go.More than half the passengers got off at east midlands as they had had enough flying for one day 😅
