I flew that flight to Bacolod on November 2023, same stormy weather. I was allocated seat 1A, directly in front of where you sat. When I got the ticket I thought "Great, I'll be first off when we arrive!" then I saw the plane loaded from the rear... Nice flight though.

Kuya Mitch, thank you for the shoutout, I remember one of my scarier flights was an ATR flight out of Atlanta to Fort Walton Beach, Florida during a stormy night. It seemed like the flight took 15 hours (only took a little over 1 hour). But, you know it is bad when the pilot has to fly over the airport to see it. I believe that the ATR and Dash-8 are the only prop planes flying in large numbers, everyone seems to moving on to the small jets (Embraers, Bombardiers, etc).

You're welcome, Jeff! Yeah, flights like that can seem so long, I remember in my Turbulence blog, we've been circling around and I was already getting pale. The flight seemed to take forever! I dunno why Dash-8's are still in demand; it's serving a purpose airline companies need specially here in the Philippines where we only have small airstrips in some airports.

Can't wait to try the ATR 72-600 bound to Zamboanga next year, my last ATR flight was way back 2011 and it was the 500 series and my last flight to Zamboanga is on an A320. Flying in a turboprop seems more fun than in a jet since it flies in a low altitude, I can see the views much better. More power sir Mitch and maybe you can shoutout me on your next vid :)

My last flight with an ATR was around 7/8 years ago when they used it going to Boracay. I was assigned to one of the seats in front of you because I was a minor flying alone back then. Pretty weird experience. Also, the seat now looks odd parang bus sa EDSA hahaha!

@@FlukyChannel I see. Ayaw man mahadlok kay diri naman unsafe ini nga ATR. The fact that there are no major incidents to prove this aircraft in unsafe already means it's certified to carry passengers. Otherwise hindi na dapat yan ginagamit ng company. Whatever you hear has to be proven. Otherwise you're just scaring yourself. What if someone tells you Supercat and its training is far worse than airlines, eh di pano na? You can't listen to gossips and stories na walang facts all the time. Remember that the airline industry has strict safety regulations. As for being noisy, yes, many propeller aircraft (even the Q400) has loud engines. Wala pang technology so far na may engine na parang kasing lakas lang ng bulong, if noise really bothers you. Kanya kanya naman tayo ng preferred way of traveling, and each naman has its pros and cons. Go lang where you're most comfortable being on. :-)
