Looks awesome. I'll need to print myself one and try it out. What an amazing time we live in.

Great job on the plane design and flight. So impressed with the WS HD Pro camera footage.

Nothing flies like a plank! Great flight! Seems pretty efficent. 60 plus mph at 130w is fantastic.

I was pretty shocked by the efficiency & speed. This motor is more for fast acro flying. Next time i wanna fly at 5-6 amps and see what mah/km it can do

Digital is top, but I'm glad that I'm not the only one, still not ditching the old-school video. Great video as always!

Very impressive low light handling and plane smooveness! I'm happy there are more digital options worth considering in future.

I was blown away by the low light performance. I could easily see everything in detail. It was a full moon but i'll have to try this on a darker night sometime.

Great video, SD. The StormBird is a great design - fast, acrobatic, smooth and efficient too. Looking forward to seeing some formation flights with a Gaggle (or whatever the collective term is) of Stormbirds!

just started printing wings today. Fuse is done. Cant wait to fly. Its obvious a lot of work has gone into the design which I cant even say about asome of the payware print planes...

What colour combo you doing?
@andrewjamez Жыл бұрын
@@StuntDoubleFPV just what I have in the shed. White ST-pla for fuse and elevons which feels really strong now that it's all glued together..and white LW-pla for the wings. I've been using lw pla for my last build....its half the weight of pla but has the structural integrity of paper mashe....lol. I think aircraft printed in lw pla need to be designed specifically for it to maximise durability other wise is a waste of time. I can't wait to test fly the storm bird. I have a good feeling about this one. Cheers.

Ok impressive camera and low light capabilities but DAMN the smoothness! How is this possible? Well done on the design! Is it a little forward swept? Does this contribute to the stability? It's almost unreal this level of smoothness..
@StuntDoubleFPV9 ай бұрын
Cheers, the smoothness comes from a combination of lots of thing - clean design, good airfoil, tuned inav, calm conditions, lots of expo, not touching the sticks too much. It's a straight wing

Wow. Buttery smooth flight! About how long after sunset is this flight? My DJI O3 camera is woefully inadequate as soon as the sun starts going down.
@StuntDoubleFPV Жыл бұрын
About an hour after sunset. It was a full moon so it wasn't as dark as normal but still way too dark to fly LOS
