Any issues with the local security? I want take my Drift up there and see if it's got the range to get to the second reservoir, where we used to camp at as Scouts in the '80's, but has since been fenced off from public access. After all, such a nice open spot, away from people and full sized aircraft, shielded operation thanks to the terrain, and, it's only a few minutes drive.

@@StuntDoubleFPV Djerriwarrah, to the north east of Merrimu. Was the original reservoir for Melton & Bacchus Marsh, until the dam was built and Commadai was flooded. Back in the 70's and 80's, if the water got low enough, there were occasions when the church spire of Commadai was visible out of the water.

@Stunt Double FPV Hello, I am in the process of printing the interceptor. I have run into an issue with getting the PETG elevons to (glue, several types tried) stick together enough to be sufficient. If possible would you please upload the elevons as 1 piece for left and 1 for right. I tried to join them in fusion and i keep getting errors and it wont allow me to join them together and after several different types of glue they just pop apart i dont want them to do that in the air. thanks 👍👍

I am having the hardest time finding the 900 mm carbon tube. Everyone in the States wants $30 for 1 6mm x 1000 carbon tube or they have $30 for 2 500 but very limited on 1000mm. And more than I wanted to spend on that section, rmrc has them for $9 but wants $14 in shipping. Probably going to find a wood dowel instead. It will definitely still have the power 😁
@StuntDoubleFPVАй бұрын
@@jcfpv3454 you could try dowel but I don't think it would hold up in extreme high G turns. There might be cheaper options in fibreglass
@jcfpv3454Ай бұрын
Readymaderc has some just higher shipping😒 gonna have to bite it on this one and have a great fast, strong plane because of it. Thanks will definitely consider those on future builds. With those big 2806.5 motors going on there its gonna need every bit of strength it can get. 😂@StuntDoubleFPV

@@StuntDoubleFPVthx If you dont mind me asking how did u wire in a 4 in 1 esc. I have one and would save me quite a bit.
@StuntDoubleFPVАй бұрын
@@jcfpv3454 first all just attach the motors to 2 of the output tabs. Then you need to find the matching signal wires, these wires are usually part of a 7 pin cable that connects direct into a flight controller. The signal wires now can be connected directly into the receiver. Then you prob need a ground too
@jcfpv3454Ай бұрын
@StuntDoubleFPV Thanks, greatly appreciate the knowledge. I am using a matek f411 wte and it has 2 motor hook ups and power input so I am going to wire in esc through fc and then s1 and s2 to servo signal connections.

My first time building an RC Airplane. I was wondering how to mount the motors? Are we suppose to mount them then glue the part to the wing? A plastic mount for the motor just seems like a disaster in waiting. A stronger backing would have been nice. But I have no clue.
