Goodness I thought I would click off this video within 20 minutes, boy was I wrong. I thought watching an hour long documentary of how a old level was rebuild would be boring, especially since I suck at staying to the end of a video, but this was so interesting. The way DarkX hid the level from everyone in such a strange manner and how the restoration of the level was clinging on to every last bit of information you could get, even if it was from an 8 year old memory from a random commenters brain, is fascinating. There are so many moments where you are so close to getting your hands on this beast but then being shot down by by the littlest of things. I love they way this video was put together and I'm super glad I stayed to the end! Keep up the good work for 2023 Storm!

I wonder if darkx still has rg saved on his computer. To people who don't want to watch an hour of ranting about the worst but most unique top 1 ever, here's a shorter version of the video (how i would document it) A geometry dash creator named Arco on the Korean website Naver (who was in a community called Geometry Dash World) posted about hosting a level series with each level being a different element, for example the first level would be named Element 1 H. These levels were divided into 12 series of levels, with each one gradually getting harder, and the 12th set being near impossible. DarkX decided to join and had to make levels 111-118 on the project, but only ended up making one that got deleted for unknown reasons. Some of the other levels that were in the project were deleted for unknown reasons too, but only 27 LEVELS OUT OF THE 118 WERE FINISHED ANYWAY!! Element 111 Rg (roentgenium), a level by DarkX (foldering on Naver), was uploaded somewhere around April 7th to 10th of 2014. RobTop rated the level most likely due to using a lot of the new features in the beginning part, despite how incredibly difficult the rest of it was. RobTop doesn't really play the whole levels though. On April 11th, 2014, a secret way in the level was found at 3% by jumping onto the platform and jumping onto a corner of a block with spikes and holding until there's no more pillars. DarkX posted some mysterious message on Geometry Dash World before leaving the community (again, for unknown reasons). The level was deleted after, somewhere between May 21st to August 15th, with almost no trace that the level even existed. Later, around 2019 (or so i think), Stormfly and a few other people tried the best they could to try and get parts of the level (or maybe the actual level) and restore it. First thing they tried, GD copyables, nope, NONE EXISTED. Next thing was KZbin videos, NONE EXISTED OH WHAT A RELIEF THATS HELPFUL. Then they realized they could use Everyplay because it was basically a repl- ARE YOU KIDDING ME EVERYPLAY WAS SHUT DOWN A YEAR AGO. there's only one thing left. Look for information on Naver. They found images of the level, and that's about it, so now NAVER IS FUCKING USELESS OH MY GOD- oh wait we forgot about that kid that makes autos (also known as Honor on geometry dash world) TURNS OUT THE DUDE DIDN'T EVER FINISH IT AND WHEN WE DID GET A SNEAK PEEK OF IT IT WAS BROKEN!!!! yes Naver is not a choice anymore. In october of 2022, Stormfly and "the few other people" found out about something called Titanium Backup that could've been used to- FUCK YOU EVERY SINGLE BACKUP IS TOO LATE OR PEOPLE DON'T HAVE THEIR OLD PHONES!! So there's only ONE THING TO DO EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SAID THAT TWO TIMES. Ask people what they remember. Ok first we got uhhhhhhhhhhhhh- Oh wow we figured out why everyone kept dying at 41% maybe its because of that impossible brick barrier timing which was basically impossible straight fly. That's helpful. Well actually, Naver isn't useless. we found more info- Ok cool we found 6% of the level in the pain path woo. Ok enough talking JUST START BUILDING THE FUCKING LEVEL ALRE- And here's the playthrough. I cannot believe how this took us THREE FUCKING YEARS TO DO. (This took me like 20 minutes to type what the actual fuck)

I can sympathize with you looking everywhere to try to find something that people are intentionally are trying to keep secret, realizing that your search is futile and any source of the thing you are looking for was at best, deleted multiple years ago. I have poured way too much time trying to find an alternate KZbin channel of a youtuber I used to watch that essentially went into hiding and told everyone in their community, the person reuploading their old videos, to keep it secret, and it is so frustrating just looking through the comments and replies and realizing that it is useless, just to get back to the grind a week later, racking your brain for any sort of source of new information. I hate it.

This level is terrifying in every sense possible, there's not a single level in the game scarier than this one, it feels like it came out of a god darn cheap creepypasta Hear me out: A level that was mysteriously deleted off the servers as if it gained sentience that refuses to be seen by anyone, throwing any kind of minor inconveniences and roadblocks onto any fool that tries to discover its true self that was created by a player who doesn't even feel like a real person but an extension of the level's own consciousness, intentionally keeping parts of it unseen by people. Like, seriously, a 15 second auto recording of the level being completely broken?? Nice one Element111Rg.exe, corrupting any video proof of what lies beyond the secret way!! And then you have Restoration Union with Stormfly as the leader, the completely helpless and tragic protagonist of this B Horror Movie. Huge props to you and your team, I'm proud to say I've been witnessing your efforts ever since no one even knew the song of the level in very early 2019, It's been real

exactly how i feel about this level, every single thing done in an effort to restore the level ended up being a dead end, it's like this is what DarkX wanted, an evil creator that wanted to keep the level hidden even after his departure, and now the level is potentially lost forever, it haunts me

Not to mention the high video quality you offer us everytime. However, DarkX's gameplay style really is something else, I have never in my long time in this community saw anything this creatively evil, many other korean old creators had this unique garbage but somehow fascinating gameplay style, just not to this degree.

Such an amazingly done video with one of the most interesting yet depressing stories in Geometry Dash. Ever since I got into the history and progress of Element 111 Rg, as well as it's efforts to be restored, obviously because of your early videos on it, I was always intrigued on what the final outcome would result in. Would the level be forever lost to time, or was it possible to properly recover it? I guess that's why it was so upsetting to hear that y'all in the Restoration Union were so close to fully finding the original level, but failing due to that one little mishap, but I was still hooked on what would come next, despite this level being old impossible garbage. Props to all of you for making any of this happen, and maybe we can finally close the book on this level once and for all! :) *_Edit:_* ...Never mind, I guess I was wrong. I am presented with a dilema and I won't thank you for the headache Stormfly (jk, the vid is mad good) 😂 Also, considering I'm a boomer I'll add some notes down below from what I remember about "the old age lmao" This is going to sound weird, I'm at 31:11 when it is stated that the level was deleted at max the 15th of August... BUT, because there's a but. I started playing Geometry Dash in mid to late September 2014 (I fact-checked on when I bought it on the playstore), never cracked the game before or anything. I started looking at online levels not that long before 1.9 arrived (early November 2014). At the time I used to search for easy demons/secret ways, free stars basically. I vividly remember watching several videos which contained Rg (whether compilations of secret ways or simply videos performing the secret way in Rg). What's gonna be awkward is that the "unknown" name actually light up something in my head. What's even more strange is that I also vividly remember performing the secret way even though it was unrated to harder no star. Now is it my memory being fucked up? Probably. Does it confirms the existence of a copy of the level? Probably not either. When you first made a video on it, I did remember the story I presented in the previous paragraph being: searching for the level, finding it and playing it. But now that I am presented this date, the 15th of August, it feels weird. Did I play a recreation? Did I not find the level and moved on the next thing and assumed it was deleted? Probably the case. There was several levels I tried to search that were unrated and or deleted that I also do remember searching for levels and not finding them. Now that I have this date my memory is being reshaped. Did I freaking played it or not, well apparently not. Thank you for attending my ted talk The notes: -I can confirm there were videos of Rg on youtube, all I remember are players performing the secret way, the first one, I can't tell who, when exactly, etc but that's one thing. EDIT: If you ever want to try and dig that up (gl hf) I used to type in on youtube in late 2014: "geometry dash hidden roads" "geometry dash secret ways" and variants of those with "demons" with an s or without thrown into the mix. I also vividly remember the videos with deleted levels being old, like a few months old from when I watched them (assuming October 2014-march 2015 which is the most likely period), I would guess those videos were as old as march/april 2014. I genuinely remember commenting in my head stuff like "they're gonna be deleted" whenever I came across an old one. Based on the given dates of Rg in this video this lines up well. -I do not remember a single video showcasing a "second secret way" in Rg, only ever saw the first. (and saw it years before anyone documented it) -I MAY BE WRONG: but I think in practice mode breakable blocks reappears after you crash, meaning you'd have to physically one-shot the 41% section which is absolutely impossible on a 60hz device from the time. This is genuinely not reasonable to assume someone did it. So either Pamka had access to a copy or he speedhacked it but I would strongly challenge the fact he ever passed it. I know you guys have already theorized it all but just wanted to throw this in here.
@geo14962 жыл бұрын
thanks for your ted talk the only reason we really trusted pamka’s advice was that his memories lined up with other players’ memories, and it’s likely that darkx could’ve removed the breakable block ship in the nerfed version. as for the videos it’s not impossible for a video to have existed, i have done fairly extensive searches but mainly focusing on april 7-19, because on GW there’s a post saying someone was able to play Rg on the 19th because they had it in their saved folder. perhaps a video was uploaded after it was deleted off the servers, or maybe people have misinterpreted that statement but who knows

what about searching on your gmail search history to see which videos you watched at the time? Google keeps track of every video you watched and if you check on the history it says 'watched X' video and it normally shows the thumbnail of said video, if you were to click on that, it'd send you straight to the video otherwise the video was made private/deleted. Awesome video, and amazing people trying to restore a... well... maybe not so amazing level... XD Great job Stormfly and Restoration Union co! Was just wondering, this is me just throwing an idea out there, but I have noticed that Pauze has been updating older levels with bugs and fixing them on other people's accounts. He has done it on both yellow and green accounts, so I was just thinking, wouldn't he be able to access BeKiD's account and save data and maybe even find the level? Or even access DarkX's account and find the level on there (since there's a possibility RobTop deleted the level and so it may still be on DarkX's save data)? Just some food for thought. :D Also, how can I get in contact with Arco? I'm thinking about restarting the series, with all old levels still in it, but maybe have some modern creators add some new ones and finally finish the series! Thanks for the video again and sorry this comment is so long, lol!

first, the updates are not done through accounts, just robtop updating the levels from his end. darkx’s green account doesn’t even still exist, meaning he likely deleted the game or something. bekid doesn’t have the auto or pictures anymore, either. lastly, while he recognizes that people have been able to make good levels similar to the element series, arco has stated that only levels by the original team are the official levels, meaning no more levels will be added

Thank you for watching :) I do want to point out also that I have graduated college and I have the title Technical Artist to throw around. I have programmed multiple games (both 2D and 3D) with groups or by myself so I am of course very aware of the difficulties of developing a video game. I have a fair bit of inside information of how Geometry Dash is programmed, I've even been lucky enough to see some of the code that runs any level in the game. The code was incredibly basic which is fair enough, but it is also oddly structured. Robtop used operators I don't think I have ever used, nor have I ever known or seen anyone found good use for them (specifically these ones /=). But a more blatant complaint would be him using integers for sprite rotation, not following the hexadecimal system for when creating sprites (256x256 and 512x512 and etc is common practice, his numbers are all over the place), decoration blocks being different sizes in the files and instead of fixing them, he re-scales them in-game, etc etc. I obviously understand that some bugs of his are not his fault and I acknowledge that fact whenever those bugs come into conversation. But seeing as this person is someone who makes millions of dollars on the game supposedly every year and spends $20,000 every month maintaining the server from his home, yet over the past 6 years has been reluctant of updating or fixing stuff when it only becomes a massive problem in his eyes, it is hard not bearing resentment towards this man.
