Awesome - really appreciate this summary of everything we can learn from the streams! Blockade looks kind of like the "if you played Terran in SC2, try this guy" hero type. And that's a good one for me!

It’s really interesting because he has a lot of similarities with Terran, but I also think Blockade is a “Warcraft 3 nostalgia” hero as well. I forgot to mention it in the video, but I think ‘Redemption Rift’ is meant to feel like using a Town Portal Scroll in WC3 haha

Thank you so much!! I'm really happy to hear how much you enjoyed this. It was a lot of work to put together, since I wasn't in the beta, and had to assemble all this from watching streamers' vods 😅. My main motivation to make this was because I wanted to watch such a video, but no one had made it. If Stormgate takes off and there's lots of other content creators making guides on co-op heroes, I may not have much reason to make my own. But if no one's making co-op overviews, then I'll certainly try and make more. 🙂 To be honest, I regret not making one for Maloc; because I assumed there was going to be bigger changes in between the Elephant and Frigate builds 😅

Great video, I didn't catch all of the content creators streaming co-op, so it was very frustrating to watch the ones I did ignoring all the unit info and playing them exactly like the ladder version of the faction. Gave me the impression co-op was way more underdeveloped than it actually was.

(Yay my first comment!) Yes, I felt similarly! Some streamers did take a closer look at the various aspects of co-op, but this information was strewn and hidden across multiple different VODs from different streamers. And I really wanted an overview video that compiled all known information, in as concise and easy-to-understand a manner as I could Thank you for giving this video a chance!

Yes! Even though Stormgate is a spiritual successor to Blizzard-style RTSs, I love that it has a lot of nods towards other games in the genre, too!

Video Errors / Corrections / Misc (will edit more in as necessary): 1) In the slide comparing the Guardsman with the Exo, I have the Exo's Therium cost incorrectly listed as '50'; it should be '25'. Whoops. 2) I didn't say it explicitly, but from what I can tell, Blockade's other units are largely the same as the default Vanguard's units / tech tree. His SCOUTs do have a tech requirement, as opposed to the default Vanguard's SCOUTs, which can be built immediately. He's not missing anything, like what you might see in an SC2 co-op commander. That's why I didn't cover any other units, since he has access to all the standard Vanguard stuff like Vulcans, Atlases, etc; with no special twists on them.

Thank you! It's somewhat out of date already, as several things have changed in the build last month, but a lot of it's still relevant; for now at least! Hoping for even bigger changes in next month's build! :)
