I can take a whole mouthful of the strongest salmiak candy we have and just keep going until the bag is empty actually thats how i eat all my "holy crap im going to die" candy (that means candy that is so strong its either gonna burn through your mouth or your throat) and because im a little weird its the only kind of candy i enjoy 💜🦊

The liquorice you didnt like are flavored with ammonium cloride, which gives them that unique flavor. Most likely anyone outside europe, except a few, doesnt like them.Very brave of you two to atleast try them!

Marzipan is made from almonds, almond paste, comes in varied consistencies from smooth to almost chunky, when it dries out looses some flavor can taste like how you described.

Danish have these waffle cookies that are like eating a waffle cone with caramel in it. So good!!! If you can find them I highly recommend Struphwaffle
